Podomedy is delighted to congratulate Thots TV on their impressive win for Best Social at the inaugural Golden Lobes Podcast Awards, held last night at The Clapham Grand in London.

The star-studded ceremony, powered by Adelicious, brought together the brightest talents from the UK's thriving comedy podcast scene, with Thots TV's innovative social media approach earning top honours from the judges in a competitive field.

The Golden Lobes, created to celebrate excellence in comedy podcasting, featured over 200 submissions spanning established names and indie upstarts. This Paranormal Life took home the night's top prize, The Big Ears Award for Funniest Podcast, while comedy legend Frank Skinner received a standing ovation as he accepted the inaugural Lobes Legend Award for Services to Funny Audio.

Other notable winners included Harry Hill's "Are We There Yet?" (Best Earworm), Harford: An Oral History (Best Scripted Podcast), and Lateral with Tom Scott (Best Live Show).

The awards ceremony featured a diverse mix of independent and mainstream voices, with CheapShow winning the Grower Not a Shower award for cult favourites, and Legitimate Likes taking home the fan-voted Listener's Lobe.

Cheerful Earful founder Giles Gear summarised the evening: "We set out to prove that comedy podcasts - big or small, indie or mainstream - deserve to be celebrated side by side, and last night's incredible energy proved we've done just that."
