[00:00:09] Right then guys, welcome back to Lets Talk About, Liam here as always and again it's one of them episodes where Billy hasn't turned up but this is the final episode of Lets Talk About.

[00:00:19] But I do have a special guest of us so tonight I've got Cece with me from Spirits and Scrubs Podcast. So Cece welcome to the podcast.

[00:00:28] Thank you, thank you for having me.

[00:00:30] No problem, no problem. Well let's just dive straight into it then. So do you want to tell our listeners about your podcast? Where the idea came from when you started?

[00:00:40] Yes, I have a baby podcast. I'm a baby podcaster as I like to call myself. This just started this a couple of months ago. I think not even two months ago.

[00:00:48] I've been working in healthcare for about a decade, a little bit under than a decade. And I've always been fascinated by the paranormal activities that happens in healthcare facilities.

[00:01:02] You know, it's always something that's really, that was really, oh my dog just walked in, sorry. That was really, I was mesmerized by it, you know?

[00:01:12] And so I just started to, you know, why not start a podcast about this? And so here we are. I'm really shocked that a lot, I'm really surprised that a lot of people are interested in this.

[00:01:22] Like a lot more than I thought. Like I was talking about my colleagues, speaking about it to my colleagues. I'm starting a paranormal podcast, you guys, about the things that we see and hear at work.

[00:01:32] And they're like, oh my God, you have the guts to do that? You know?

[00:01:36] Yeah.

[00:01:36] Because you do got, you got to be gutsy to do that.

[00:01:38] It's an intriguing topic though.

[00:01:40] So yeah, it is an intriguing topic. So that's why I decided to start this. It's like a fun hobby for the moment, you know?

[00:01:47] Yeah.

[00:01:47] And having fun with it. Yeah, it's a lot of fun.

[00:01:50] Good, good, good. It's funny really, because again, it's another episode that Billy's missing out on that he'd have been really good on because we have a big argument on residual energy.

[00:02:02] Oh.

[00:02:04] And like, I always, he always used an example to me that, oh, if you're in a hospital, you feel differently because lots of people have died there.

[00:02:11] And I'm like, yes, but that's because you're in a fucking hospital. You know you're there.

[00:02:14] So.

[00:02:15] That's true.

[00:02:15] That's what I mean.

[00:02:16] Yeah.

[00:02:17] Yeah.

[00:02:17] Yeah.

[00:02:17] It's like you walk into a haunted house and you hear that it's a haunted house.

[00:02:20] You're going to walk in and you're going to be like, oh my God, I feel that ghost everywhere.

[00:02:24] Exactly.

[00:02:24] Because you, you know, you've been told that.

[00:02:26] Yeah, for sure.

[00:02:27] Sure.

[00:02:28] Of course.

[00:02:30] You do get a weird feeling in hospitals though.

[00:02:33] I mean, I feel like I really feel it.

[00:02:36] You guys think, I think if you're one of those people that really are intuitive with like the energies,

[00:02:42] you could probably feel it more.

[00:02:44] Or if you're not, you know, skeptical, I know people that are more skeptical won't be listening to,

[00:02:50] you know, the senses, whereas to I will be really, really like aware of them, you know?

[00:02:56] Yeah.

[00:02:57] Hmm.

[00:02:59] Yeah.

[00:03:00] It's like, I always, I've always, since doing this, because when we first started,

[00:03:05] I was very skeptical of quite a few things.

[00:03:07] And then as we, as we've been going now, just over again, I say now that I believe in things,

[00:03:13] but I don't know what I believe in.

[00:03:15] If that makes any sort of sense.

[00:03:17] Makes absolute sense because what are you believing in?

[00:03:19] We have no proof of anything.

[00:03:21] Yeah.

[00:03:22] We don't have any proof.

[00:03:23] We have like all these people saying, I saw this, I saw that, but there's never any concrete proof.

[00:03:27] So, you know, of course I believe it, but what do I believe in?

[00:03:32] That there's something.

[00:03:34] Yeah.

[00:03:34] True.

[00:03:35] I fully agree.

[00:03:36] So we'll go, we'll go back to the beginning then.

[00:03:38] So where did your interest in the paranormal all start from?

[00:03:42] And, you know, did you have any like early experiences with it?

[00:03:46] I didn't have any early experiences with it.

[00:03:48] My mom is a medium.

[00:03:50] So it's like my experiences, you know, my mom is a medium.

[00:03:53] So she, she sees things.

[00:03:58] And when I was young and growing up with her, it was all normal.

[00:04:01] She didn't really talk about her gift.

[00:04:04] It's just like once in a while, she'll see somebody passing by.

[00:04:07] That's a spirit, things like that.

[00:04:09] Or when family members pass away, she sees them lingering and, you know,

[00:04:13] but for me, it was always kind of normal being raised in that.

[00:04:16] And it's not like she really talked to us about it and sat us down and said,

[00:04:20] well, you guys, I'm a medium.

[00:04:21] I see things.

[00:04:21] It would sort of just was very natural.

[00:04:24] So it was, you know, but like growing up and getting older,

[00:04:28] you realize, oh my God, my mom sees things.

[00:04:31] Like when you're older, like, oh crap.

[00:04:34] So it's like older, I became more aware sort of.

[00:04:39] And I started getting really, really interested in it more when I started working in healthcare,

[00:04:44] way more when I started working in healthcare.

[00:04:49] And yeah, now I'm just like completely swimming into all this paranormal stuff.

[00:04:55] I think it's so awesome.

[00:04:57] There's so much that we don't know that we'll never know.

[00:04:59] And it's so fascinating, like all this unknown.

[00:05:03] Yeah, it is fascinating, but I also find it very annoying.

[00:05:07] Like you said, the fact that we will never 100% know.

[00:05:09] We will never know 100%.

[00:05:11] We won't.

[00:05:14] Well, I mean, we might do one day.

[00:05:17] You know, I suppose everyone will find out one day.

[00:05:22] I hope so.

[00:05:23] Everyone will find out one day.

[00:05:24] But like also, our brains can be really tricky.

[00:05:28] They can trick us.

[00:05:30] So there's that also.

[00:05:32] Like, is it just because my brain's being tricked?

[00:05:34] You know, I don't know.

[00:05:35] Like, I don't know.

[00:05:36] Because there's always the both sides.

[00:05:37] And I'm like that too.

[00:05:38] Like, I think of the both sides sometimes.

[00:05:40] Where I'm like, oh my gosh, I think I saw something.

[00:05:42] Then I'm like, oh, come on.

[00:05:44] Like, I, you know, I wiped my eye five minutes ago.

[00:05:47] Maybe there's something in my eye.

[00:05:48] You know what I mean?

[00:05:49] Like, I was trying to find a logical explanation.

[00:05:52] Yeah, that's what I'm like with things.

[00:05:54] I'm very logical with things.

[00:05:56] It's, again, it's an argument.

[00:05:58] Me and Billy always have like, you know, dolls slamming and stuff.

[00:06:00] And it's just, obviously there's a window open or something then.

[00:06:04] And it's just, I mean, to be honest, I just like arguing with him.

[00:06:09] That, you know, arguing is fun.

[00:06:14] So, growing up with your mom as a medium then, like, how can I word this then?

[00:06:21] So, like, did any of your, like, friends when you were younger, like, know that?

[00:06:26] And, you know, did they, you know, was there any, like, questions being asked there?

[00:06:31] Because, I mean, I think if any of my friends' moms were like, oh, again, my mom can see ghosts.

[00:06:35] And I'd be like, right, I've got a lot of questions for you.

[00:06:37] I know.

[00:06:37] I got to sit down then with you.

[00:06:38] No, never.

[00:06:39] And you know what?

[00:06:40] It's such a good question because now that I have this podcast, I had a friend of mine come on my podcast, my very first episode.

[00:06:46] She came on my podcast.

[00:06:48] And she sees ghosts.

[00:06:50] She sees dead people.

[00:06:51] She's a medium.

[00:06:52] She's super open to all these things that I've always known because she's always told me.

[00:06:55] But in our interview on this podcast, I was talking about my mom.

[00:06:59] And she was like, you never told me.

[00:07:02] I would have had so many questions for her back in the day when we were living in the same city for your mom.

[00:07:07] Why didn't you never tell me?

[00:07:08] And I'm like, it was just something that I didn't really talk about back then.

[00:07:11] And it's not something that I want to talk about with people also.

[00:07:14] It's you get judged.

[00:07:16] People laugh at you.

[00:07:18] Like what kind of family?

[00:07:19] You know, you get super judged talking about paranormal things.

[00:07:22] So for me, I just kind of kept it to myself.

[00:07:26] It's passed down me and my brother.

[00:07:27] We're both like, we both are very open spiritually.

[00:07:31] Yeah.

[00:07:32] But yeah, no, when I was young, I never told anyone about it.

[00:07:35] Yeah.

[00:07:36] Never.

[00:07:36] That was kind of the question I was trying to ask.

[00:07:39] Like, you know, if there was any sort of like, you know, backlash to it, if you had told anybody or anything.

[00:07:44] Because I can imagine the problem.

[00:07:45] For sure.

[00:07:45] It would be definitely.

[00:07:46] Can you imagine the backlash being in like grade school and her mom is this and that.

[00:07:51] And oh my gosh, no, never.

[00:07:54] Yeah, definitely.

[00:07:55] And it's not like it was a weird house.

[00:07:57] I mean, it was a super normal house.

[00:07:58] We never talked about things like that.

[00:07:59] Never, never, never.

[00:08:00] It's just once in a while it would happen and it was like normal.

[00:08:03] Okay.

[00:08:03] It was normal.

[00:08:05] Yeah.

[00:08:05] So, so did you ever see anything happen then?

[00:08:09] Yes.

[00:08:10] Of course I did.

[00:08:13] Well, when I was working, this was during COVID, the big COVID in 2019.

[00:08:19] And I was working at a medical facility, a long-term medical facility next to my house.

[00:08:27] And all of our patients were dying.

[00:08:29] Like all of our patients were dying one by one.

[00:08:31] We were the location in Quebec that had the most deaths due to the coronavirus.

[00:08:39] Yeah.

[00:08:39] So it's like everyone was passing away.

[00:08:41] It was, it was horrible.

[00:08:42] And one of our patients had been living there for almost 12 years and his family was really

[00:08:50] close to us.

[00:08:51] His family would come see us all the time, every day almost, and bring us like donuts and

[00:08:55] coffees and things like that.

[00:08:56] So he was a really big part of the facility.

[00:08:59] He would talk loud.

[00:09:00] He was a big man.

[00:09:01] He would take a lot of space.

[00:09:03] Every single day at 3 p.m., he would ring his bell in his room so we could lift him up.

[00:09:11] And I don't know what you call them in English because it's French here.

[00:09:13] Like the people, like a lift, like it's on the wall because he's paralyzed.

[00:09:17] So we lift him and bring him to his bed.

[00:09:19] Oh, like a heist.

[00:09:21] Yeah, a heist.

[00:09:22] Yeah.

[00:09:23] A heist.

[00:09:23] So every day at 3 p.m., he would ring his bell and say, I want to have my nap, please.

[00:09:26] So we would say, of course.

[00:09:28] And we would bring him in his bed.

[00:09:31] He passed away and we had to quarantine everything in the room for like 48 hours because of when

[00:09:40] they died of the coronavirus.

[00:09:42] So we quarantined everything in the room for 48 hours.

[00:09:44] And then once everything was liquidated, no one can move in for like another 30 days.

[00:09:50] But no one was moving anyways.

[00:09:51] It was a pandemic.

[00:09:53] And so the room was empty.

[00:09:56] And at 3 p.m., I kid you not, every day for a week, his bell rang in his room.

[00:10:06] And there was no one in his room.

[00:10:10] The panic that we had the first time that it rang, we were like, oh, there's somebody ringing

[00:10:14] the door.

[00:10:15] You know, the bell.

[00:10:15] Who is it?

[00:10:16] Which room is it?

[00:10:16] Oh, it's room.

[00:10:18] What?

[00:10:18] And like the room is ringing on top of the door.

[00:10:20] And we're like, let me go in.

[00:10:22] There's nobody there.

[00:10:23] And then all of a sudden, all of us at the same time, we got like shivers.

[00:10:27] We were like, oh, my God, it's him.

[00:10:29] Yeah.

[00:10:30] A hundred percent.

[00:10:31] And every day at 3 p.m., it rang for like a week.

[00:10:36] That's crazy.

[00:10:37] I mean, that's crazy.

[00:10:38] And I remember my colleagues in the hallway when it would ring at 3 p.m.

[00:10:42] You know, sometimes one of my colleagues would just like be crossing and the door would,

[00:10:47] the bell would ring and she would look at her watch and go.

[00:10:53] It was nuts.

[00:10:55] Yeah.

[00:10:55] So the weird thing with that is the fact that it happened more than once because a friend

[00:11:01] of mine who will speak to us on podcast as well told me, like me and him both say that

[00:11:04] like, you know, there's no such thing as coincidences.

[00:11:07] But I think if something happens once, you can maybe argue it's a coincidence.

[00:11:11] But like when it's happening one, two, three, four, like say up to seven or eight times,

[00:11:16] like say for a week straight, that's definitely not a coincidence.

[00:11:19] There's something in that.

[00:11:21] Definitely.

[00:11:22] I know.

[00:11:23] That's what we thought too.

[00:11:23] The first time we were like, okay, it's, you know, it's probably him.

[00:11:26] Like we were like, it's probably him.

[00:11:28] But then every day, like, okay, we get it.

[00:11:31] And we didn't feel anything negative from it.

[00:11:34] Like we weren't scared.

[00:11:34] You know, it's quite the opposite because he was such a kind man.

[00:11:38] We actually felt happy.

[00:11:39] We felt happy when it happened.

[00:11:42] Like, you know, sometimes you would feel, you would think that you would be scared, but

[00:11:46] no, the opposite.

[00:11:49] It's like, oh, he's saying hello.

[00:11:51] Yeah, exactly.

[00:11:52] Yeah, exactly.

[00:11:52] I know what you mean because I mean, like you say, obviously because he's been there for

[00:11:57] so long, obviously it'll have been obviously known by everybody.

[00:12:00] And like you say, well-liked if he was that kind and stuff.

[00:12:03] And if something like that would happen, I do think some people would probably even like

[00:12:07] enjoy it and be like, oh, to sign it, you know, he's still here.

[00:12:10] He knows.

[00:12:12] Yeah.

[00:12:13] That's exactly how we felt.

[00:12:14] It's kind of nice in a way.

[00:12:16] It is kind of nice in a way.

[00:12:18] Yeah.

[00:12:19] We were like, oh, he really liked us.

[00:12:21] Clearly.

[00:12:22] Much of the time.

[00:12:23] Either that or he really didn't like her and he was doing it to annoy everybody.

[00:12:29] Which could happen probably.

[00:12:31] You never know.

[00:12:33] It's the kind of thing I do.

[00:12:37] Well, no, that was a good, that was a positive.

[00:12:40] That was positive.

[00:12:42] Have you got any other stories or experiences then through working, like you said, in healthcare?

[00:12:47] Yeah.

[00:12:48] Well, that place actually, that facility used to be, just to rewind back, I was called to

[00:12:55] do the night shift for a while there.

[00:12:57] The overnight shift.

[00:12:58] So it's like you get there at midnight, you leave at six in the morning or eight, I don't

[00:13:03] remember.

[00:13:04] And I was scared out of, I was so scared.

[00:13:09] I always say I love the paranormal, but I'm the biggest chicken also.

[00:13:13] So I went there thinking, oh my God, I'm going to see all kinds of stuff going on at

[00:13:17] night.

[00:13:18] Right.

[00:13:18] But actually I didn't see, I didn't see anything, but I did.

[00:13:22] I kept seeing like the wing where I was like in the nurse's station, there was a wing there

[00:13:26] and a wing in front of me.

[00:13:27] And I kept seeing shadows, but then again, it's overnight.

[00:13:30] You're tired already.

[00:13:32] I'm expecting, and I'm hoping I won't see something scary at night.

[00:13:36] I'd rather see it in the day.

[00:13:37] And I kept seeing something and looking at it.

[00:13:40] Well, what the heck?

[00:13:42] And I asked a colleague of mine, how long have you been working here at night?

[00:13:46] And she said, like 10 years.

[00:13:47] I love working the overnight shift.

[00:13:48] And I thought, and that's crazy, first of all.

[00:13:52] But then I asked her, you know, you're out of your mind.

[00:13:56] And I asked her, do you guys ever see things?

[00:13:58] Like, do you want to tell me what you've seen?

[00:14:00] And she said, well, didn't you know that this place used to be an orphanage back in

[00:14:06] the day?

[00:14:07] You know, the nuns took care of the kids and they were never very well treated back

[00:14:11] in the day.

[00:14:12] And I said, how did I not know this?

[00:14:14] No, I didn't.

[00:14:15] And she said, the backyard where we have our lunches back in the 1800s when that was

[00:14:20] going on was a cemetery for kids.

[00:14:23] And I had no idea.

[00:14:25] And I said, what?

[00:14:27] And she said, in that wing, people regularly report at night.

[00:14:34] They tell us, can you tell the kids to stop playing with the ball?

[00:14:37] Like the kids are making noise, but there's never any kids there.

[00:14:40] They see children running, the residents, the patients.

[00:14:44] They see kids running and playing with a red ball, like a balloon or whatever.

[00:14:50] They see that and they say, can you tell the kid to stop playing?

[00:14:53] I was, the time I was there, I didn't stay there long because I'm way too much of a

[00:14:55] chicken.

[00:14:56] I was like, I have to quit or you changed me because I can't live like this.

[00:15:00] But they kept seeing kids playing with balls, the patients.

[00:15:05] And they would tell that to the nurses.

[00:15:10] Regularly.

[00:15:11] She said she's never seen anything, but maybe she didn't want to tell me because she

[00:15:15] didn't want to sound crazy.

[00:15:16] That's the thing, though.

[00:15:17] You have to talk about that stuff with similar crazy people.

[00:15:22] Yeah, exactly.

[00:15:24] Things like that, they're the ones that really intrigue me because there's so many,

[00:15:30] how do you say it, like versions of how people describe that they've seen, like, you know,

[00:15:35] an apparition or a ghost or whatever, whatever you want to, word you want to use.

[00:15:40] Like, I've heard people say that I just see like a floating head.

[00:15:44] I've heard people say that, like, it's just like a mist and then there's like full body

[00:15:49] apparitions where you would think it's an actual person that stood there in front of you.

[00:15:52] And like, they're the ones that really interest me because, like, because, again, it's one

[00:15:57] of them.

[00:15:58] I want to believe them all, but surely there can only be one answer, I think.

[00:16:03] Yeah.

[00:16:04] Yeah.

[00:16:04] So my first podcast interview that I interviewed, my good friend Steph, and she sees, she's a

[00:16:12] medium.

[00:16:12] She sees spirits.

[00:16:13] She sees dead people all day long.

[00:16:16] I don't know how she did it.

[00:16:17] I would go nuts.

[00:16:18] And she says, you know, when I was a kid and it started happening, she said, I used to

[00:16:23] see kind of like shadowy, like very translucent kind of shapes.

[00:16:30] And she said, as the years progress, she says, now I just see them like I see you.

[00:16:36] Yeah.

[00:16:38] That's interesting.

[00:16:38] Like maybe it's the more, the more you see, the clearer they become.

[00:16:45] Like, how do you tell them the dead and the non-dead?

[00:16:48] Like, how do you know?

[00:16:49] Exactly.

[00:16:49] That's what I'm thinking.

[00:16:51] How do you know who's who?

[00:16:52] Yeah.

[00:16:53] But she knows.

[00:16:54] She says, you know.

[00:16:56] Yeah.

[00:16:56] Next time you speak to her, you'll have to ask her how she knows.

[00:16:59] Yeah.

[00:17:00] She says she knows.

[00:17:01] There must be somewhere that she knows.

[00:17:03] There must be like a tell.

[00:17:05] I know.

[00:17:05] I've actually called her when I was working in another medical facility.

[00:17:10] I had, I wasn't, I was working the night shift, not the overnight shift, but the night

[00:17:14] shift where I was, I would finish at 12 midnight.

[00:17:17] And I was in the nurse's station once and it was like a really quiet evening.

[00:17:21] Nobody was around in the lobby or next to the nurse's station.

[00:17:26] And I heard like steps walking, like when I hear a patient and I'm like, oh God, please

[00:17:32] let me be a patient and not something I'm hearing.

[00:17:34] And so this woman walks in and she's been crying.

[00:17:37] Her eyes are really red.

[00:17:38] And she's like, there's creatures again in my room.

[00:17:41] And I obviously thought this is it.

[00:17:44] This is the day I'm going to see, you know, creatures in someone's room.

[00:17:47] Okay.

[00:17:47] And I remember there was a Bible there.

[00:17:49] Somebody had left a Bible, like in the nurse's station.

[00:17:53] And I took it with me.

[00:17:54] I was like, okay, let's go see the creatures.

[00:17:57] And I get to her room and she's like, they're on the bed.

[00:18:01] They're on the bed.

[00:18:02] They're right there.

[00:18:02] And she's really freaking out.

[00:18:04] She's crying and she's like, tell them to go away.

[00:18:06] And I had my Bible and I was like, you guys, if you could just like leave so we can all

[00:18:12] move on with the night, you know, talking to nothing.

[00:18:14] I was literally talking to nothing because she saw something.

[00:18:17] So of course I'm not going to, you know, say the opposite.

[00:18:20] And I remember on her bed, there was, it looked like, and this is like, I don't even know,

[00:18:27] but it looked like things had been running around on her bed.

[00:18:32] Like the way that the blankets was.

[00:18:35] Yeah.

[00:18:35] The impressions in it.

[00:18:36] Like, I don't know how she could have made that, but maybe she did, or maybe she didn't.

[00:18:39] But it was just really weird how it, the impression, it looked like there was like animals

[00:18:43] running around.

[00:18:44] You know, like when your dog runs on your bed, it kind of looked like that.

[00:18:48] And, um, I remember calming her down.

[00:18:51] And when I went back to the nurse's station, I looked in her file, obviously, if you know,

[00:18:55] if she has a history of hallucinations, does she have new medication is what, you know,

[00:18:59] and it was really none of that.

[00:19:01] And I worked there not long during the night shift, but every time I was working, she would

[00:19:05] come up to me and tell me, because you can see the reports from the night before and the

[00:19:09] night before.

[00:19:09] And she never, this never happened when the other girls were working.

[00:19:13] It always happened when I was working.

[00:19:15] And so at one point I called my friend who's a medium and I said, I need to call you on

[00:19:21] video.

[00:19:21] You need to see this and tell me what you see.

[00:19:23] And I was going around and there was nobody there.

[00:19:26] And she was like, Cece, there's like, it's so crowded where you are.

[00:19:33] It's just like, it's so crowded.

[00:19:34] There's people around, around you everywhere.

[00:19:36] And I was like, Oh my God, I'm alone.

[00:19:39] And she was like, no, but there's people all around you.

[00:19:42] There's like a lot of commotion going on.

[00:19:46] And what the thing was with the creatures that that's, that's definitely interesting.

[00:19:51] Every day she would come in and every night she would come crying and she would say there's

[00:19:55] creatures, they're big and they're black and they're hiding on her bed.

[00:19:59] And then they go on her bed.

[00:20:01] And then they, when I would tell them to leave, she said that they would leave through her back

[00:20:04] door.

[00:20:04] She had like a patio door in her room.

[00:20:06] They will leave.

[00:20:07] When I would tell them to leave that she would, they would leave.

[00:20:10] Sometimes she would come twice in a night and she would say, you know, they're back.

[00:20:14] I had, I never saw them ever.

[00:20:16] But like I said, she didn't have a history of hallucinating.

[00:20:21] It's not like she had new medication.

[00:20:23] She didn't do it in the day.

[00:20:25] She didn't have any, you know, like anxiety that would cause her to do that, but she always

[00:20:29] did it when I was working during my shifts, but I never saw them.

[00:20:34] I never saw them.

[00:20:35] That's definitely a strange one.

[00:20:36] And that's, again, it's one of many, many reasons why I say anyone who works in like

[00:20:41] healthcare, I would just say like, you know, fair play because I, all I can imagine if

[00:20:46] I was sat there and someone came up to me while I was at work and be like, oh, there's creatures

[00:20:50] on my bed.

[00:20:51] I'd be like, I would not be like, what the hell are you talking about?

[00:20:56] I would not be able to deal with that in the right way.

[00:21:01] That's why when I heard that moment, I specifically remember sitting down and hearing like her slippers

[00:21:06] walking and I thinking, oh God, please let me be a, let it be a patient.

[00:21:12] And, but that's why I can't work the night shifts.

[00:21:14] Like I'm too much of a chicken.

[00:21:15] I freak out at like the slightest thing.

[00:21:17] Like I walk around them, but it's something that fascinates me.

[00:21:20] Like I have a paranormal podcast.

[00:21:22] Like I love it.

[00:21:23] But in the daytime, not at nighttime, I feel like since I'm open to it, I would, it would

[00:21:32] be worse.

[00:21:34] Like I'm not ready for it.

[00:21:36] Does that make sense?

[00:21:37] I definitely believe that's a thing.

[00:21:40] Like, I feel like it, like I'm, I feel that I'm not ready for it at all.

[00:21:44] Yeah.

[00:21:45] Again, my friend Tommy, he says, once you start looking into the paranormal, it looks back.

[00:21:50] Oh God.

[00:21:51] I've never heard that, but that's scary.

[00:21:53] Yes.

[00:21:56] I mean, I think, I think he's got a point.

[00:21:58] Like I said, I mean, I've been, I mean, I was very skeptical before when we started, but

[00:22:02] since we've been doing this, like some weird things have happened for me as well.

[00:22:06] So.

[00:22:06] So.

[00:22:07] Wow.

[00:22:08] Really?

[00:22:09] Mm.

[00:22:10] You don't say.

[00:22:12] Yeah.

[00:22:12] Well, well, well, well, tell, tell me about a story.

[00:22:15] Um, I mean, the best, one of the best ones I've told the most on here.

[00:22:19] So it was my birthday in July and I'd all birthday cards up, you know, on the shelves, windowsill

[00:22:25] stuff like that, like you do.

[00:22:27] And then I come downstairs one morning, bearing in mind, like I said, where the shelves and

[00:22:31] stuff that the cards were on, there's other things on the shelves, things in front of

[00:22:34] the cards.

[00:22:34] I come downstairs one morning, every single card was on the floor, but nothing else.

[00:22:40] Oh, someone came to wish you happy birthday.

[00:22:43] Or someone just doesn't like birthdays.

[00:22:46] Also.

[00:22:46] Yeah.

[00:22:47] It can be mischievous.

[00:22:48] Oh, no.

[00:22:49] What, what did you do?

[00:22:50] What happened?

[00:22:52] I just put them back on the shelf.

[00:22:55] Yeah.

[00:22:56] Act like nothing happened.

[00:22:56] I was like, well, what else I can do is I just put them back on the shelf.

[00:23:00] And there was, there was objects preventing them from falling?

[00:23:03] Yeah.

[00:23:04] Yeah.

[00:23:05] Yeah.

[00:23:05] Well, like I said, none of them had moved, like even slightly.

[00:23:09] So it was like someone had picked them up and dropped them.

[00:23:13] Wow.

[00:23:14] Yeah.

[00:23:15] That was weird.

[00:23:15] That, that is unexplainable.

[00:23:17] Hmm.

[00:23:19] I mean, there's probably a reason somewhere in the world, but not, not, not one that I

[00:23:24] could think of.

[00:23:26] Hmm.

[00:23:27] That's the paranormal looking back at you.

[00:23:29] Yeah.

[00:23:30] Mostly.

[00:23:31] Wow.

[00:23:32] Wow.

[00:23:33] Yeah.

[00:23:33] That was strange.

[00:23:35] That is strange.

[00:23:36] Hmm.

[00:23:37] That is very strange.

[00:23:38] And do you have like animals that could have, like a cat that could have, I mean, we've got,

[00:23:42] well, we have two cats, but they stay, they stay in, well, one of them usually stays out

[00:23:46] all night and the other one stays in the kitchen and the door's always closed.

[00:23:49] So like I said, there was nothing that could have knocked out.

[00:23:52] There was no windows open.

[00:23:54] So you have a listener on your podcast who's a ghost, who's a fan or maybe not a fan.

[00:24:00] Yeah.

[00:24:00] And just hates better days.

[00:24:07] That's awesome.

[00:24:09] It's a strange one.

[00:24:10] And then, and then the, the, the other thing that started happening is like, I hear a lot

[00:24:13] of noises now.

[00:24:16] Yeah.

[00:24:17] But like, not, not like, um, like the typical hearing footsteps sort of thing.

[00:24:23] It's like really loud noise.

[00:24:24] I mean, I mean, this could be some medical, but it's like really loud noises in just one

[00:24:28] ear as if something's stood behind me.

[00:24:31] Well, you know what they say?

[00:24:32] Once you start opening up, opening up portals, you know, just talking about it.

[00:24:36] You know, you're probably subconsciously opening up portals.

[00:24:41] They'll come in.

[00:24:42] That's what I've been told.

[00:24:44] They'll come in.

[00:24:45] It's happened a couple of times.

[00:24:46] So we'll be sat on the sofa and then one of the cats we have a lot of the time is just

[00:24:51] from nowhere, he'll jump on the back of the sofa and it makes the weirdest noises ever.

[00:24:55] It doesn't make noises like a cat does.

[00:24:58] So then sometimes I hear like a noise like that in my ear, but a lot louder than it would

[00:25:04] be if it was the cat.

[00:25:05] It's a similar sort of noise, but then the cat's not even in the house.

[00:25:10] That's freaking crazy.

[00:25:14] Wow.

[00:25:16] I don't really know what to make of that one because like I said, it's just a weird noise,

[00:25:20] but.

[00:25:21] Yeah, but it's not.

[00:25:24] But cats, you know, cats especially dogs too are very receptive.

[00:25:30] Very receptive.

[00:25:32] Yeah.

[00:25:37] So far, nothing's happened in this house here.

[00:25:42] Nothing's happened so far.

[00:25:44] Thank God.

[00:25:45] Yeah.

[00:25:46] Well, my house is a new built house.

[00:25:48] So we're the first people who've lived here.

[00:25:51] So I, it's the thing that, I mean, it's the thing that gets said over here a lot.

[00:25:55] New builds houses.

[00:25:56] It's not a time to get haunted yet, but I mean like.

[00:25:58] Exactly.

[00:25:59] Yeah, but places can still be haunted.

[00:26:01] Like, you know.

[00:26:02] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:26:03] You build a house on a burial ground or something, then the house can be haunted.

[00:26:06] Yes.

[00:26:07] So I mean.

[00:26:07] Yeah, you never know.

[00:26:09] It could be.

[00:26:10] You never know.

[00:26:10] I mean, who knows what was going on on the land, you know, in the 1600s.

[00:26:14] Was there a war?

[00:26:16] Was there a fire and like a whole city was burned down?

[00:26:21] Many things.

[00:26:22] Because, you know, even me, we have a new house here too, but we're a new house now.

[00:26:27] And, you know, in this century, but what happened in all the previous centuries?

[00:26:32] Exactly.

[00:26:33] We're not new on the land.

[00:26:36] Exactly.

[00:26:38] We're pretty late on the land here.

[00:26:39] Yeah, very.

[00:26:43] Very late.

[00:26:46] Have you got any other experiences then to share?

[00:26:52] Nope.

[00:26:53] These are where my experience is in medical facilities.

[00:26:57] Yeah.

[00:26:58] I've been getting emails though.

[00:26:59] I don't get too many of them, but I do get a couple of them a week where I have to start

[00:27:04] reading more and doing more podcasts.

[00:27:07] I'm so, you know, working in healthcare, you kind of have no life.

[00:27:09] Yeah.

[00:27:10] And so, you know, you're always working.

[00:27:12] But I do have like stories where people have been telling me these crazy stories.

[00:27:17] They don't want to come on the show because they don't want to get judged, which I completely

[00:27:20] get it.

[00:27:21] Yeah.

[00:27:21] Oh my gosh.

[00:27:24] All kinds of stuff.

[00:27:25] Paramedics getting calls.

[00:27:27] I have one that I have to do my podcast.

[00:27:29] So it's a sneak peek.

[00:27:30] Two paramedics got a call for a woman who was in distress.

[00:27:36] And so they got there.

[00:27:37] She was in distress, but she didn't make the call.

[00:27:41] She literally had no phone in her house to make the call.

[00:27:46] That is creepy.

[00:27:48] That is creepy.

[00:27:50] Yeah.

[00:27:50] That's my new, my next, my next podcast coming up.

[00:27:54] Yeah.

[00:27:55] Yeah.

[00:27:55] And they're from, they're actually from Montreal.

[00:27:57] They wrote me an email.

[00:27:58] They're like, you know, we haven't told anybody this except our wives.

[00:28:01] Cause people think we're crazy, but it's literally happened.

[00:28:05] They got a call for a woman in distress.

[00:28:07] They got there.

[00:28:08] She was in distress, but she didn't make the freaking call.

[00:28:14] She has no phone.

[00:28:15] She had left her cell phone.

[00:28:16] She has no, cause you know, most people have phone cell phones.

[00:28:19] Now they don't have like a landline or residential.

[00:28:22] She has left her phone in her daughter's car earlier that day.

[00:28:27] And so the paramedics called the daughter to, you know, to tell them what happened.

[00:28:31] And, and, um, using their phones because she said, no, I really don't have a phone.

[00:28:36] And they didn't, they didn't believe her.

[00:28:37] So they called with her phone.

[00:28:38] They called the daughter and the daughter said, my mother, my mother doesn't have a phone.

[00:28:41] She left her phone in my car this morning when I dropped her off.

[00:28:45] I was going to bring it to her tomorrow.

[00:28:48] Isn't that crazy?

[00:28:50] Like when you, when you said that, the headline, like I literally got ghost phones.

[00:28:53] That was weird.

[00:28:54] I got goosebumps when I was reading the whole email.

[00:28:56] When I was reading the whole email, I was freaking out and getting goosebumps.

[00:28:59] They, they, she, she didn't make the call, but she was in distress.

[00:29:04] That is like, there's, there's, well, there's no answer for that.

[00:29:08] There is no, that is fair.

[00:29:10] That is not normal.

[00:29:11] That is insane.

[00:29:14] Yeah.

[00:29:14] That's like, that's almost like, you know, like a, some sort of like guardian angel type, surely.

[00:29:20] Yes.

[00:29:21] Her, oh, that's true.

[00:29:22] Her husband had died and it was, that day was their anniversary.

[00:29:28] There would have been their, yeah, their, I forgot the best part.

[00:29:32] That's the, yeah, their, their, their wedding anniversary was that day.

[00:29:39] Yeah.

[00:29:39] That, that, that has to be something to do with that.

[00:29:42] That has to be.

[00:29:43] Yeah.

[00:29:45] She was on the floor.

[00:29:46] She had fell.

[00:29:46] She was on the floor and, um, she had, she was cooking and she fell on the floor.

[00:29:52] You know, we get, uh, paramedics get calls all the time by, you know, elderly people

[00:29:56] that fall because they tend to lose their balance a lot.

[00:29:58] Even I get to some, you know, some of my patients' homes sometimes and they're on the

[00:30:02] floor.

[00:30:02] Like, hi, I can't get up.

[00:30:04] It happens all the time.

[00:30:05] They lose their balance.

[00:30:06] Uh, and so, um, when they got there, she had been cooking and her, her, her stove was

[00:30:13] on and her food was like burning cause it was.

[00:30:16] So if they hadn't arrived, if somebody wouldn't have made the call, she could have possibly,

[00:30:21] you know, the house would have caught on fire.

[00:30:24] Yeah.

[00:30:24] So it was like a really big thing.

[00:30:26] Yeah.

[00:30:27] Yeah.

[00:30:28] That's definitely some sort of like some guardian age situation there, I think.

[00:30:32] Yeah.

[00:30:33] Yeah.

[00:30:33] That's insane.

[00:30:34] Yeah.

[00:30:36] Um, I wanted to touch a little bit on, um, insane asylums in quotations there cause

[00:30:43] I don't really like that word particularly.

[00:30:46] What word?

[00:30:47] Insane asylums.

[00:30:49] I don't like, I don't like, I don't like that, the, that way of phrasing it.

[00:30:53] Yeah.

[00:30:53] I know.

[00:30:54] I hate that.

[00:30:54] There's obviously, there's all sorts of names for them and stuff, but like more so,

[00:30:58] like you say, like back, back in the day when they were doing all the crazy experiments

[00:31:03] and stuff on people.

[00:31:04] And cause I see a lot of videos now of people doing the ghost hunt, turban, exploring and

[00:31:11] stuff and to go to these old buildings and stuff.

[00:31:13] And there tends to be a lot of, a lot of activity going on there.

[00:31:17] A lot of residual energy.

[00:31:20] Yeah.

[00:31:20] Yeah.

[00:31:21] Again, which is why I say, Billy would have been good to be here for this one.

[00:31:25] Yeah.

[00:31:25] Where is Billy?

[00:31:26] Yeah.

[00:31:28] Well, thank you.

[00:31:29] Our listeners will know nobody knows.

[00:31:33] I mean.

[00:31:34] Why do you think there's a reason why they tend to stay in those buildings?

[00:31:40] From what I've learned and what I've researched and what I've been told is that these are places

[00:31:50] where people suffered immensely.

[00:31:52] Like people suffered immensely.

[00:31:55] Like people would go in for like schizophrenia or just something as simple as like a migraine

[00:32:03] and they would do like lobotomies on them.

[00:32:06] Yeah.

[00:32:07] Electro shocks to cure schizophrenia and like these ridiculous things like that.

[00:32:13] And most of those people never got out.

[00:32:15] Most people never got out.

[00:32:17] They died most of the time from the treatments.

[00:32:21] And these were normal people like you and I who just had like these little complications.

[00:32:26] I what I've been told and what I've researched is that when there's so much trauma and pain

[00:32:34] and sadness that the energies it's just too strong.

[00:32:38] So we will linger.

[00:32:40] It will linger in the area where it happened.

[00:32:44] And I mean, and in those asylums, I believe it.

[00:32:49] Like I 100% believe it.

[00:32:51] We there's a huge hospital in Montreal.

[00:32:53] It's it's for mental mental health, like a huge mantra in mental health.

[00:33:01] Louis H. La Fontaine.

[00:33:02] It's called in French.

[00:33:03] Louis Paulette La Fontaine.

[00:33:05] And it's people that have like schizophrenia.

[00:33:08] I have, you know, a lot of mental issues and things like that.

[00:33:12] And when I go there, because we go there sometimes for trainings, because it's a big facility.

[00:33:18] And I kid you not, when I walk in, I feel it.

[00:33:21] Yeah.

[00:33:22] Yeah.

[00:33:23] Like, I just feel a sadness.

[00:33:26] Just being in that place.

[00:33:31] Yeah.

[00:33:31] I mean, strange as it sounds, because like I said, I've obviously told the whole anecdote thing about mine and Billy's argument about if you go into a hospital, you're going to feel a certain way.

[00:33:40] And I think I say yes, because it's a hospital.

[00:33:43] But I think maybe, again, you'd feel differently in the hospital like that.

[00:33:49] But again, it's because, you know, you know what's going on there.

[00:33:52] You know what's gone on there in the past and stuff like that.

[00:33:56] You know what I mean?

[00:33:57] Yeah.

[00:33:58] Yeah.

[00:33:58] Intuitively and subconsciously, you're walking into a place where you know that there's been a lot of obscene experience that have been done.

[00:34:07] You know that a lot of people have, hundreds and thousands of people have suffered.

[00:34:10] do you know that walking in so of course we're humans with feelings and hearts and senses of

[00:34:15] course we go in and we're already thinking oh my gosh this happened this is so sad yeah so of

[00:34:21] course that has a lot to do with it it's like when you walk into walt disney world you're so excited

[00:34:26] everyone's excited the energy is completely different you feel you know you read the room

[00:34:30] you know so i think that yes that's definitely to that's also to be talked about that's all and we

[00:34:37] don't we don't talk about that a lot about we know already what we're getting ourselves into

[00:34:41] it's like when you're walking into a meeting with your boss god you're already walking in with like

[00:34:48] it's the same thing yeah definitely it's the same thing it's the same thing

[00:34:54] but i often think i'd like to go to one of these old like say the abandoned asylums and just to you

[00:35:02] know like i said just just just to just to be there and like you say see see if you feel anything see

[00:35:07] if you experience anything just just to see how the whole feeling of the place is i just think it'd

[00:35:13] be very interesting it's not really to say a very iffy opinions on residual energy stuff but that is

[00:35:20] one place i'd like to go to see if i feel anything because of like you say all the horrible horrible

[00:35:27] things that have happened there i i think it you should definitely do it i think you should definitely

[00:35:32] visit one of those places i don't know if you visited the uh holocaust museums i don't know if

[00:35:36] in your area if there are any holocaust museums but i remember when i was younger with school we had

[00:35:42] went to washington to visit the holocaust museum yeah and you walk in there and you're just like you

[00:35:49] want to cry the whole time and i remember getting lost in there i lost my class and i was freaking out

[00:35:54] i was just overwhelmed with emotion in there and i was a kid it's the same thing like you walk into you

[00:36:01] know that you're walking into a place that like massacres and like this horrid things happen you

[00:36:06] don't feel well at all yeah exactly you feel terrible the whole time and sad so it's the same

[00:36:16] thing walking into those asylums you feel terrible and sad for what happened yeah yeah i think it would

[00:36:26] be quite the experience if you if you would go because when i go when we have trainings there and i go

[00:36:31] i feel that i feel the same way every time and as soon as i leave and i'm driving away i feel it

[00:36:37] leaving my body like it's like i feel better yeah i'm leaving total release as i'm leaving yeah yeah

[00:36:45] it's definitely something we're going to look into because we have just done our first little

[00:36:50] paranormal investigation so next year obviously with the name change and everything we're definitely

[00:36:54] going to get into doing more of that and getting more videos out there so i'm gonna have to

[00:36:59] we're gonna have to do some research and see if there is anything like that near us

[00:37:05] like after after our investigation that we did i think there is i definitely think there is something

[00:37:10] to it but how much there is to it i'm still a bit skeptical and i mean i think a lot of it again

[00:37:19] is just it's in your head like i say what i always say what i need is i need someone to take me to

[00:37:25] somewhere where also i think this sounds hard this sounds horrible to say but i need someone to take

[00:37:31] me somewhere where a lot of bad shit has happened yeah for sure no and for me not to know and then if

[00:37:39] i feel something then i'll be a bit more of a believer in it but i'd like to say i just think

[00:37:45] when you go somewhere and you know what's happened there then i think your brain makes you feel like

[00:37:51] that yeah more than the actual energy itself personally well that i said that that's that's

[00:37:58] just what i believe but i might be wrong i don't know i believe that too though i also believe that

[00:38:05] i believe that of course as you're walking into a place and you're like in your mind that you're

[00:38:10] already that you know it's already concrete in there that something's gonna happen something's gonna

[00:38:15] happen whether it's something that's really gonna happen or it's your mind tricking you i believe for sure

[00:38:20] absolutely there's a ghost need to scare the shit out of you for you to be scared

[00:38:26] i believe in it yeah but yeah i believe it for sure or my super powerful way so they can definitely

[00:38:35] trick you yeah definitely i still don't want to work overnight overnight shifts though

[00:38:47] it's it's quite funny really because i was thinking because i was since since we spoke

[00:38:52] and obviously you're the whole concept of your podcast i mean i could probably do a similar

[00:38:58] one with my job so my job i'm a chef and i obviously work in pubs and stuff wow and i've never known a

[00:39:05] not to have a ghost really yeah well especially here every pub here has to have a ghost it's part of it

[00:39:15] do people report paranormal things happening where you work

[00:39:19] uh well a lad i work with he's convinced he forgot to lock the door one night went back in

[00:39:25] obviously it was dark he's convinced he heard somebody say his name that's crazy

[00:39:33] yeah i mean we like to annoy him and just say that he's talking shit but you never know

[00:39:38] how do people react to him saying that um most people don't believe him yeah of course or to

[00:39:49] but to be to be fair i understand why because it's never happened again since and the time this was this

[00:39:57] was a good few years ago and i won't say his name he did used to smoke a lot of weed back then so

[00:40:04] i mean that might have something to do with it but you never know but not like them

[00:40:11] at the cleaners they obviously they go in first thing and like a lot of the cleaners have worked there

[00:40:16] over the years they're adamant they've heard people like in the toilets and stuff oh my gosh

[00:40:23] am i going to go to the toilet and you can't go because you're too scared

[00:40:28] it defeats the purpose

[00:40:32] oh god yeah that's nuts a lot of pubs are haunted though i've seen a lot of paranormal documentaries

[00:40:38] on like netflix and stuff there's a lot of pubs that are like in these old buildings

[00:40:42] that have pretty sinister past back in the day you know people used to get so drunk in there and

[00:40:49] like there would be all kinds of fights and stuff and there's been you know a lot of

[00:40:53] sinister things happening

[00:40:56] well there's a there's a pub not far from me i'll put a post about it on on our instagram page i'll

[00:41:04] send you it once we finish this yeah but uh that was that's always been a pub and like years ago

[00:41:10] so then there's a very small building next to it that was essentially like a

[00:41:13] morgue or a mortuary whichever i remember which one it was i remember the difference what the

[00:41:17] difference is between them if there is a difference anyway so they used to um when that was

[00:41:22] fall that then just put the dead bodies that washed up on the beach in the pub

[00:41:28] imagine though oh god that's kind of energy with the people that are not very happy that

[00:41:34] that happened to their bodies oh my god yeah

[00:41:39] yeah it's just bad it's just mental but like i said i don't know i've never been to a pub

[00:41:45] there that doesn't have some sort of ghost story i think i think over here it's just part of

[00:41:52] pub life you have to have a ghost yeah

[00:41:56] for loyal customers yeah exactly like if you opened a pub here and didn't have a ghost no one

[00:42:02] probably probably right well i think i think we'll leave it there as easy because i've enjoyed that

[00:42:09] me too it was super fun it's like a couple of technical difficulties in there but like i say it

[00:42:14] wouldn't be a podcast without them it wouldn't be a podcast without one especially a paranormal podcast

[00:42:21] exactly you want to let our listeners know where they can find you when you're podcast

[00:42:24] sorry it kind of got blurry there yes of course so you can find me at the spirits and scrubs podcast

[00:42:31] uh instagram or on tiktok but on my instagram i have all the links where you can listen to my

[00:42:37] podcast on spotify our heart radio and all that good stuff so spirits and scrubs podcast

[00:42:45] cool cool were you going to say something before that then did i quit you off there

[00:42:49] no i was going to say we got the time zone wrong uh yeah we did

[00:42:54] the app stopped working that's like the perfect paranormal podcast

[00:43:00] yeah definitely uh right then guys we're going to leave it there so for the final time this has

[00:43:06] been let's talk about um we are taking a little break over christmas so there'll be no episode next

[00:43:12] week what episodes will be back on the 5th of january when we will become the spooky shed podcast so

[00:43:19] we shall speak to our length thank you for listening
