[00:00:38] So today Liam, we are going to be talking about, one, our experience and what happened at Kirkleatham when we did our paranormal investigation.

[00:00:52] And we are also going to talk about some of the history that has actually happened in Kirkleatham, some of the darker history and some of the mystery surrounding the woods.

[00:01:07] So mate, should we start off with the paranormal investigation?

[00:01:11] Yeah we can do, yeah why not?

[00:01:20] So, we had set off at around, what time was it, Liam? Half 7 was it?

[00:01:26] Yeah, half 7, 8 o'clock.

[00:01:27] Well, 7.30, 8pm, somewhere around that margin.

[00:01:31] And it was already pitch black.

[00:01:34] Yeah.

[00:01:34] Now bear in mind, you can all search Kirkleatham Woods red car on your phone and it will show you what it looks like.

[00:01:39] It's dense woodland and as soon as you stray from where the road is, you can't see a thing.

[00:01:49] Most of you will know what woodland dark is and it's dark, it's horrible.

[00:01:56] So, we arrived at the woods and straight off the bat there was already like a car parked up, wasn't there mate?

[00:02:02] Yeah, that was dodgy, I'm telling you now there was some dodgy there.

[00:02:05] Yeah, definitely dodgy, dodgy dogging.

[00:02:09] Well I hope not because there was a child in the front with him.

[00:02:12] Oh was that? I didn't even see that.

[00:02:13] Yes.

[00:02:14] Oh wow, okay, well I'll take that back.

[00:02:17] But yeah, it was just a bit different because it's in the middle of nowhere, more or less, as well.

[00:02:24] I feel great, it's over the road from my house.

[00:02:26] Well, yes, but you wouldn't use that road, would you?

[00:02:30] Especially if there's a kid in the car, which I don't know about.

[00:02:32] It's near a church and there's nothing, there's no reason, it's not like that area in itself where the woods actually is, where the road is, is not built up.

[00:02:40] But there's maybe the odd few houses, I think there's two or three, that are occupied that are opposite where the entrance to the woodland is.

[00:02:52] Anyway, yeah, so the car made us a little bit like, huh, a bit dodgy.

[00:02:57] But anyway, it wouldn't have made too much of a difference because they probably thought the same about us because me and Liam exited the car wearing all black, looking like we were about to rob somewhere.

[00:03:05] Yeah, a pair of fucking burglars.

[00:03:07] Wow, that was identical to how you said it on the video, a pair of fucking burglars.

[00:03:12] That was spot on, that was, mate.

[00:03:28] Anyway, so Liam, you weren't sure about going over the way I'd said originally, were you?

[00:03:34] You wanted to find a different area to park the car because there's no real easy way in, I guess.

[00:03:40] Yeah, mainly because now, the part where we thought, right, we'll just hop over this bit and we'll get in this way, had a lot of, you know, do not enter signs up.

[00:03:52] I was like, right, I'm not parking my car here and jumping over this fence because I know what our luck is like.

[00:03:56] Yeah, yeah.

[00:03:57] So we decided to find somewhere else.

[00:03:59] We did, yeah.

[00:04:01] But anyway, so as soon as we got into the woods, just the darkness, just straight away, you're like, fuck.

[00:04:09] Every time I've even been to Kirkleaf and Woods before that, I've had some form of light.

[00:04:15] Like, there's been a bit of daylight left before the dark actually sets in.

[00:04:19] And maybe that was a mistake on our part with what ended up happening.

[00:04:23] But anyway, we got into the woods, didn't we, mate?

[00:04:28] We did a lot of torches, just to clarify.

[00:04:30] We're not complete idiots.

[00:04:32] Yeah, well, we had, that was a last minute thing as well.

[00:04:36] Liam managed to get a hold of a torch, which kept dying.

[00:04:41] Or I just didn't know how to use it.

[00:04:43] It was one or the other.

[00:04:44] Yeah, I think that torch is older than you.

[00:04:47] Yeah, fair play.

[00:04:49] It was my mother.

[00:04:50] It didn't do much help, though, to be fair, the torch.

[00:04:53] Sort of.

[00:04:54] You could see your shoes.

[00:04:55] Yeah, that's what I mean.

[00:04:57] So all of my movement was directed through my phone.

[00:05:02] Obviously, I had the torch on on the video on my phone as well.

[00:05:05] And that's how I was navigating through the woods.

[00:05:06] I could see better on the camera than I could with my own eyes with both a flashlight and my phone's torchlight.

[00:05:13] So we got immediately as you get to the part where we entered, you reach the, there's an abandoned house there.

[00:05:19] And I've recently learned that that was the caretaker's house.

[00:05:23] And it's been abandoned since the 1980s.

[00:05:26] So it's a lot older than, because I think we said in the video about 20 years it's been abandoned.

[00:05:31] Yeah.

[00:05:31] A lot longer than that.

[00:05:33] So that puts it nearly 50 years abandoned now, mate.

[00:05:36] I think it was 40, it was 1985, something along the lines of that.

[00:05:44] Anyway, you didn't like the house, did you, Ed?

[00:06:13] It's a very, very uneasy feeling, just because it fits the setting so well.

[00:06:18] That house obviously has been abandoned for that long.

[00:06:20] It's in a hell of a state.

[00:06:22] It just boards up all over it and stuff.

[00:06:23] And it's forming the pieces.

[00:06:25] But anyway, I had no intentions of doing an investigation at the house.

[00:06:28] One, because it's very close to a main road.

[00:06:33] And I didn't want any interference coming through whatsoever that could tamper with what we're hearing and things like that.

[00:06:42] So my plan was to head straight to...

[00:06:48] Because you said this in the video as well.

[00:06:50] You said, oh, it's right near a main road.

[00:06:52] There's only one road through Kirkland.

[00:06:54] And it is not a main road.

[00:07:34] So, anyway, I had the intentions of going to the stables.

[00:07:38] Because that's where I got the most activity on my previous investigation.

[00:07:46] Did with my previous investigation with another group last time I was there.

[00:07:52] And I got the most activity at that spot.

[00:07:54] So, I remembered the way.

[00:07:56] Yeah, yeah.

[00:07:56] I've been there multiple times.

[00:07:57] I've still got the old videos on my phone.

[00:07:59] All the evidence I've got from them, to be fair, I'll probably put on the Instagram page.

[00:08:07] It's a very easy path to follow, so to say, anyway.

[00:08:13] We should clarify as well that Kirk Leaven is, like the woodland area is, I mean, Christ.

[00:08:20] So, especially our listeners in the US, it's probably the size of their garden, mate.

[00:08:50] So, anyway, there's a clear path that takes you straight down from where the house is.

[00:08:54] So, we went straight up that path.

[00:08:55] And I knew if we turned right, we'd end up near the stead.

[00:08:59] And then if we turned right again, once we reached where the old, sorry, it was a stead, wasn't it, Liam?

[00:09:06] No, the stead was in record, but it was an old hospital, basically.

[00:09:10] Yes, it was an old hospital, sorry.

[00:09:12] And I knew if we turned right from there, we'd end up at the stables.

[00:09:15] And that's exactly what we did.

[00:09:16] Like, watching that video about countless times, that's what we do.

[00:09:20] We follow that path.

[00:09:22] We turn right.

[00:09:23] We reach where the hospital was because we see a little light that's on, which actually wasn't in the video.

[00:09:29] That was weird.

[00:09:30] That was weird.

[00:09:31] And that's not actually in the video, annoyingly.

[00:09:35] Technical issue with the video, guys.

[00:09:37] But basically, at the old hospital, there is works going on behind it anyway.

[00:09:41] They're building a school there, I believe.

[00:09:45] And this hospital has been abandoned for God knows how long.

[00:09:50] Maybe as old as the house is.

[00:09:51] Maybe not quite that old, but it's been abandoned a long time.

[00:09:54] I imagine it probably is longer than the house.

[00:09:56] Yeah, yeah.

[00:09:58] Anyway, it's all boarded up.

[00:09:59] But there was one board that you could clearly see a light coming through.

[00:10:04] And it was like a warm white light.

[00:10:05] You know, it was 100% light.

[00:10:09] You could see it clearer on my phone as well than you could with your eyes.

[00:10:16] So we were a bit weirded out by that.

[00:10:17] But at the same time, there's works going on in the school next door.

[00:10:20] Yeah, but mainly, again, remember what time we've said.

[00:10:23] We're there at like 8 o'clock at night.

[00:10:25] I would not imagine there would be work going on at that time.

[00:10:29] Well, by this time, it'll have been around quarter past 20 past 8.

[00:10:35] Anyway, so we'd seen that.

[00:10:37] We turned right as we were supposed to.

[00:10:39] And we followed straight.

[00:10:40] There are a few instances where I hear noises.

[00:10:43] And there's actually one where I amplify the sound on the video.

[00:10:47] You've got to be listening.

[00:10:48] It's better to listen to all our videos with headphones, especially paranormal ones.

[00:10:51] If you watch them anyway, you'll know that yourselves.

[00:10:54] You listen to headphones, you can quite hear clearly.

[00:10:56] And I react to it in real time as well.

[00:10:58] There's like a gasp of some sort.

[00:11:09] So it's lighter than that, guys.

[00:11:11] But you turn it up, that's what you hear.

[00:11:17] And I do say I hear what sounds to me like talking at that time.

[00:11:22] It was weird because I couldn't hear anything.

[00:11:27] That's why I don't always point out or make much of a fuss of it if I'm the only one who hears it.

[00:11:31] Because my ears seem to pick up on every little sound you can possibly imagine.

[00:11:39] So I always think I'm overthinking or I've heard some of this.

[00:11:42] It's just not what I think it is anyway.

[00:11:44] So we carried on.

[00:11:45] And there's another moment where I saw something in the corner of my eye.

[00:11:51] And I react to it with my camera as well.

[00:11:53] I go, what the fuck is that?

[00:11:54] And then it's a fucking quality moment because Liam goes, what?

[00:11:58] Don't be a dick.

[00:12:00] And it tickled me.

[00:12:01] It really tickled me.

[00:12:03] I mean, I let it out of it as well.

[00:12:05] It's because I was facing the other way.

[00:12:08] But Liam, just explain to everyone because this was your turning point.

[00:12:13] It wasn't when we got to the house.

[00:12:15] It was this is when it started.

[00:12:17] So just run everyone through what you were going through at that moment in time.

[00:12:25] Even when we first got to the house, I felt very uneasy, we'll say.

[00:12:35] But at that point, you can rule it down to the fact that he's right next to a very old abandoned house.

[00:12:46] Is this the whole residual energy thing, which I'm still very dismissive of.

[00:12:54] But then again, I've got something for you for that.

[00:12:58] But like you say, I mean, there could be something in it then, like I say, just with the way I was feeling and what have you.

[00:13:04] And then obviously, so like you said there, so the way we went, obviously, we followed the path.

[00:13:11] So in theory, we should have come back around the house.

[00:13:19] Going through the paths that we were following.

[00:13:21] We should have come back around, around past the house and then basically back to where we started.

[00:13:27] But we didn't.

[00:13:29] No, no, we didn't.

[00:13:30] We somehow ended up back on the side of the house where we were first on.

[00:13:37] That was the worst bit, guys, because I found, because there's a wall that leads to the stables.

[00:13:42] You reach a wall before you hit the stables.

[00:13:44] So at this point, bear in mind, Liam's starting to feel a little bit nauseous.

[00:13:48] His stomach's hurting a little bit.

[00:13:52] And anyway, yeah, we run into this wall and I'm like, oh, we're here, we're here.

[00:13:55] We found it.

[00:13:56] It's just down here, mate.

[00:13:57] It should be just down the end of this wall.

[00:13:58] We keep going.

[00:13:59] Liam's a little bit ahead.

[00:14:01] He's got the torch and I'm sort of trying to film as well.

[00:14:05] And I just remember Liam going, we're back at the fucking house, mate.

[00:14:10] And I didn't believe it.

[00:14:13] I was like, no, we can't be.

[00:14:15] No, we can't be that house.

[00:14:15] The best part was you asked what house.

[00:14:18] Oh, yeah.

[00:14:20] I say what house because at this point, I'm like, there's physically no way.

[00:14:25] Because if we'd have come out on the right-hand side, no, sorry, the left-hand side of the house from where we entered,

[00:14:32] it would have made sense.

[00:14:35] Because whilst the S-arm of the opinion that it's very fucking weird, our way ended up back there,

[00:14:44] I'm not going to say there's no physical way we could have done.

[00:14:46] Because like I say, like we've said multiple times, it was very dark.

[00:14:49] We had very limited light.

[00:14:52] So there is a way we could have ended up back there.

[00:14:56] But in theory, in our heads, the way we knew we were going, because I mean, we've both been up then once for years.

[00:15:03] So in our heads, we were going the right way.

[00:15:05] Well, you'll have noticed.

[00:15:06] I still don't understand how we ended up back on that side.

[00:15:10] That's the only bit that is confusing and annoying me with it.

[00:15:12] It is a confusing thing, absolutely.

[00:15:14] But you can see the video, guys, by the way I react.

[00:15:16] Obviously, I don't believe I'm at the house at first until I see it from my own eyes and go right up close to it.

[00:15:21] On the camera, you can see it's quite clearly a house.

[00:15:23] But to my eyes at that time, I wasn't looking at my camera then.

[00:15:25] I'm like, fuck off.

[00:15:26] No, we can't be.

[00:15:27] Then I'd seen it.

[00:15:28] Obviously, we were.

[00:15:29] But I don't react quite as badly as Liam does.

[00:15:32] And I think it's a testament to I've been in these situations before.

[00:15:39] And I always try to debunk things.

[00:15:41] So I'm still thinking to myself, that could be a possibility.

[00:15:44] I haven't watched it back.

[00:15:45] We might have taken a wrong turn.

[00:15:47] It's pitch black.

[00:15:48] We did feel like we got lost at one point.

[00:15:51] So it's very possible that that had happened in my mind at that point.

[00:15:56] But I also believe in influence.

[00:16:01] And Liam will hear that.

[00:16:03] But I'm not saying like a ghost has got in front of me and grabbed my hand and sort of pulling me along.

[00:16:07] I mean, the energy has drawn us back to that point.

[00:16:13] And for me, in my mind, there's always a reason for it.

[00:16:16] And I want to point out now, because now I'm going to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

[00:16:20] I want to point out that as we were walking, Liam, that's when he started to feel his stomach pains you're having, right?

[00:16:29] Yeah.

[00:16:30] Yeah, stomach pains.

[00:16:33] Which I've got to send Liam a clip so we can make a video of it.

[00:16:36] But he had no idea about this either.

[00:16:39] And Liam's not one to lie, as I'm sure you all know.

[00:16:41] He'll call me out for bullshit as soon as he can.

[00:16:45] But the previous person who had been with a female had also had the same exact reaction.

[00:16:51] Stomach pains out of nowhere curled over with stomach pain.

[00:16:57] Now, a lot of you are going to laugh.

[00:16:58] But obviously afterwards, I asked the natural questions that you would ask if a female's got stomach pain, if that makes sense.

[00:17:04] I don't want to get into details.

[00:17:05] But that wasn't the case.

[00:17:08] And I didn't believe her.

[00:17:10] That's probably the worst part.

[00:17:12] Because she was younger at the time.

[00:17:15] And, you know, a lot of people do play up to the scenarios.

[00:17:18] And I might be a bit of a dick.

[00:17:20] But I try and go as scientific as possible.

[00:17:22] And so at the time, I didn't believe it wasn't until Liam had the same feeling that it started to ring alarm bells.

[00:17:29] And I mention it in the video as well.

[00:17:31] Now, one thing that I want to point out is a piece of history that happened in Kirkleafam.

[00:17:35] I also want to point out where we ended up back at, which is that house.

[00:17:42] Now, this is going to be a little bit difficult to listen to, guys.

[00:17:46] This is what happened in the woods.

[00:17:49] And I want to make everyone aware that me and Liam had no idea about this upon entry.

[00:17:53] I had no idea.

[00:17:54] I only found out afterwards.

[00:17:57] Right, so guys.

[00:17:58] So one of the most tragic incidents linked to Kirkleafam Woods in Redcar is the discovery of baby Liam.

[00:18:05] In February 2008, a group of teenagers found the body of a newborn girl in a black bin bag while camping near the woods.

[00:18:14] She had been wrapped in a distinctive towel.

[00:18:18] Investigations revealed that the baby had been born prematurely, possibly at 35 weeks,

[00:18:23] and had sustained injuries to her skull that could have resulted from either a difficult delivery or inflicted trauma.

[00:18:30] It remains unclear whether she was stillborn or lived briefly after birth.

[00:18:35] Despite extensive police inquiries and appeals,

[00:18:39] the identity of her mother and the circumstances of her death remain a mystery.

[00:18:44] Baby Liam was eventually laid to rest at a nearby churchyard.

[00:18:51] So that's, um...

[00:18:53] When I found that out, that absolutely blew my mind.

[00:18:56] And the way my mind works in paranormal, as sensitive as it might sound,

[00:19:00] is that straight away my head just started to connect dots.

[00:19:05] Now I did a little bit more research into the overall story,

[00:19:10] and I found something that stated where the baby was actually discovered,

[00:19:14] and it was right near where the stead was.

[00:19:18] Hospital.

[00:19:19] Well, yeah.

[00:19:20] Hospital, sorry.

[00:19:22] The stead wasn't in Kirkleafam.

[00:19:24] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:19:26] The stead was in Kirkleafam.

[00:19:27] The hospital, sorry guys.

[00:19:28] And, uh...

[00:19:30] Anyway, I, uh...

[00:19:33] Thought to myself, that's where Liam sort of started to...

[00:19:36] You know, the stomach pains at least,

[00:19:39] or the fact that he just felt ill.

[00:19:41] He clearly states that he feels ill,

[00:19:43] because at first it was just he didn't like the situation.

[00:19:45] It's pitch black and it's dark and it's a bit scary.

[00:19:48] No, no, that wasn't how to do with it.

[00:19:50] Didn't care about that.

[00:19:51] Yeah, it was just when you started feeling ill,

[00:19:54] which is right when you...

[00:19:54] It was just like,

[00:19:55] as soon as we got to the house,

[00:19:56] I just felt very...

[00:19:58] What was it?

[00:19:58] Mate, it was literally just after we got to the hospital.

[00:20:01] That's when you say it on the video.

[00:20:03] Yeah, I know, but I also say...

[00:20:06] The house is when you turned.

[00:20:07] ...that I feel very uneasy.

[00:20:09] As soon as we got to the house,

[00:20:11] I felt weird.

[00:20:14] So I want to point out that

[00:20:15] when I did an investigation at the stables,

[00:20:17] that's where Della felt the same thing,

[00:20:20] which is right near where the hospital is.

[00:20:21] I know we never found it on the day,

[00:20:22] but it is near there.

[00:20:26] And when Della reacts...

[00:20:29] So I react on camera.

[00:20:30] I'm going to try and send Liam the video.

[00:20:32] Please remind me to send you it over, mate.

[00:20:36] I'm being filmed,

[00:20:37] and I look at Della who's filming.

[00:20:39] You can see the camera just drops,

[00:20:40] and that's her hurdling over in pain.

[00:20:42] And I say, what's up?

[00:20:43] I've got the spirit box in hand,

[00:20:45] and on cue, right after I say what's up,

[00:20:47] there's a female voice,

[00:20:49] clear as day,

[00:20:50] that comes through and says,

[00:20:51] I'm really scared.

[00:20:52] Exactly like that.

[00:20:54] It's clear as day,

[00:20:55] class A voice phenomena,

[00:20:57] and I hear it in real time.

[00:21:00] I hear it word for word as well.

[00:21:02] And it spooked me then,

[00:21:03] but it spooks me even more now,

[00:21:05] knowing that they both suffered

[00:21:08] some form of stomach pain and illness,

[00:21:11] and quite possibly,

[00:21:13] the baby was stillborn,

[00:21:16] or born at least,

[00:21:18] within Kirkleaf and Woods.

[00:21:20] And we don't know who the mother is to this day.

[00:21:21] We don't know if she's still alive.

[00:21:24] But it's a crazy thought to me,

[00:21:26] because you connect them kind of thing.

[00:21:29] Yeah, I know.
