[00:08:05] I was the case mate. So he also believed that his cranial bones had become separated and were moving around So he shaved his head to be able to watch this activity So basically thought his skull was in pieces The bones are moving around. Yeah
[00:08:21] If that was the case that'd be fucking well it'd hurt for a start later investigation uncovered that in mid 1977 chase was stopped and arrested on a reservation in the Pyramid Lake, Nevada area His body was smeared with blood and a bucket of blood was found in his truck
[00:08:37] The blood was determined to be cows blood and no charges were filed What were the intentions blood bath If you I think no drinks, I mean, I'll probably get into it in a minute, but he thinks that blood Like helps him stay alive basically makes him stronger I
[00:09:01] Couldn't argue with that. I don't know why I just I mean this is this is this is gonna be a bit of a short episode, I mean I could have gone a lot deeper into this but
[00:09:09] It is pretty fucked up. So like I mean, I'm gonna get into the laughs now to be fair But just all these questions have given not questions. Sorry all this these details are giving me
[00:09:21] Ideas of questions to ask you so I'll throw I'm gonna throw in a few questions for even yourself man Yeah, right. So I'll move on to the murders now. There we go So on December 29th, 1977 chase killed his verse first known victim in a drive-by shooting
[00:09:36] The victim Ambrose Griffin was a 51 engineer and a father of two Two weeks later he attempted to enter the home of a woman but because her door was locked he walked away Chase later told detectives that he took locked doors as a sign of that
[00:09:51] He was not welcome but unlocked doors were an invitation to come inside Vampires Yes, very true exactly. This is what I mean. Yeah, that's fucking crazy in it I know what me on one occasion. He was caught and chased off by a couple returning home after he
[00:10:10] Pilfered their belongings. He also urinated and defecated on their infant child's bed and clothing So this is where it starts to get a little bit. Yeah, that's just I really have much of a laugh with it Now, yeah, that's just that's just fought. Hmm exactly
[00:10:25] It's just like it's one of them. It's very much just you spend a little It should have been a lot of time just like reading this and listening to this and all you think is why? Yeah, I mean this how's this not picked up. Mm-hmm
[00:10:39] Right, so on January 23rd, 1978 chase broke into a house and shot Teresa Wallen Three months pregnant at the time. Oh fucking Jesus. I was gonna say as well. Why is the guy? Just leading up to all of this. I didn't expect him to go around shooting
[00:10:55] I thought you were knife knives and shit like that. Yeah, so yeah So he shot Teresa Wallen three times and she was obviously three months pregnant at the time He then had sexual intercourse with her corpse. Oh me while stabbing her with a butcher's knife Fuck me
[00:11:11] He then removed multiple organs Cut off one of her nipples and drank her blood He stuffed dog feces from Wallen's yard down her throat before leaving. I Mean there's lunacy and then there's just fucked up. I don't even know there's no word for it
[00:11:28] Yeah, not in this universe This type of person it must be Evident how fucking insane they are just by having a single conversation. This is what I'm saying This is what I mean. No, it's like you say he was doing it
[00:11:42] He's like so you sat in the fucking hospital that oranges on his head biting the fucking heads off Sorry, I know himself with blood and they just get some medication You know, yeah get this motherfucker off the street. I mean
[00:11:56] Even if it was I don't care if it was the 70s. Where's the where's the thought process? The logic hasn't changed I Like to believe Mentally, yeah, sorry that just baffles me Right so on January 27th, so this is just
[00:12:19] What's that thought four days later? Yeah. Yeah four days later Chase entered the home of 38 year old Evelyn Murat He encountered a friend Danny Meredith whom he shot with his point 22 handgun He then fatally shot me off her six-year-old son Jason and her 22 month old nephew David Ferrerra
[00:12:41] walking home before mutilated me off and engaging in necrophilia and cannibalism with her corpse I Mean at this point there's not there's not much more we can do with without me just Yeah, it banging your head against the wall. Yeah, it's
[00:12:57] It's I think I mean the whole like necrophilia What the fuck is wrong with it cannibalism? What the fuck is wrong with you? But still to me, it's like, you know 22 one fold Yeah, I don't want to think about a six-year-old. It's just like
[00:13:15] What is wrong with people it's I mean, it's lunacy I mean, I'm it sounds ridiculous the way I'm gonna say this. Let me explain But I'm not surprised that's because of what I've heard about this guy before even before he murdered anyone
[00:13:28] Yeah, when you hear the shit that he's doing I'm really not surprised that he's gone out and done that It was inevitable. Yeah Right then so a visitor's knock on the door startled chase He who fled in Meredith's car taking for error his body with him
[00:13:45] So is this he took the same murder same one. He just the woman. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and obviously they're two kids He was took all of them. No. No, he took the kid the the nephew. So David Ferreri took his body with him
[00:13:57] So David Ferrer is the young he's the nephew six years old Yeah, so he took his body the visitor alerted a neighbor who called the police They discovered that chase had left complete handprints and shoe prints in Miroff's blood chase was arrested shortly afterwards
[00:14:14] police who searched Chase's apartment found at the walls floor ceiling refrigerator and All of chase's eating and drinking utensils were soaked in blood. So literally full fucking Just covered in blood. Yeah. Yeah, right That would fuck it up
[00:14:32] Yeah, imagine being an officer and go on and see in that shit Yeah, yeah walking into that apartment and just seeing that it's it's even even locally date that David Harker when
[00:14:46] The officer that went and opened the bin bag and there's fucking took chopped up just a torso in there. It's Mental is what it is. Yeah, absolutely fucking mental Right, so a bit of aftermath so in 1979
[00:15:01] Chase stood trial on six counts of murder in order to avoid the death penalty Did events tried to have him found? Guilty of second-degree murder which would result in a life sentence Their case hinged on Chase's history of mental illness and the suggestion is crimes were not premeditated
[00:15:18] Yeah, we fucking go. Well, of course that was gonna happen. Yeah, I mean Well, it definitely is mentally ill Definitely is mentally ill but I think if you are mentally ill you can I think I think murder could still be premeditated
[00:15:33] Of course it can the fucking cause it can people have the thing is The thing is the thing is that I find it's gonna be hard for me and you to get our heads around with this
[00:15:41] One thing there is the fact that like obviously this is in America and mean you mean you will say that right? Well, the one way to shot people that's premeditated hands down drive by yes But you've got to remember that obviously Americans, you know
[00:15:56] They'll go to the corner shop of a gun in them. Yeah. Yeah in the belt So they can use that snow advantage as if it's just like you're fucking up olden days when you had your blackberry on
[00:16:04] Yeah, I watch it man on that. Well, that's that's where the thing that's where the gray area is I think I for me knew if that was here and you've got a shot someone you like right was premeditated
[00:16:14] Hmm, but when it's America, I think they yeah there is a bit of a gray area It's a good argument to be had. Yeah, just just because of the fact that you know guns are very common over there Yeah, yeah, you see it in police Another conversation No
[00:16:31] Well, we might have depends a bit Maybe that could be so we talk about with a guest mate. Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, so on May the 8th 1979 the jury found case chase guilty of six counts of first-degree murder and
[00:16:45] Rejected the argument that he was not guilty by reason of insanity Sends him to die in the gas chamber get in Best fucking one mate best one his fellow inmates aware of the extremely violent and grisly nature of Chase's crimes
[00:17:00] Feared him and according to prison officials often tried to persuade chase to commit suicide Wow Did he Don't get into it. Oh Fuck off if he's committed suicide man
[00:17:14] The thing that surprised me there was like the sense sent him the finger surprised me there was the fact of the sentence The thing that surprised me there was that he was sentenced to die a gas chamber that's not surprised me
[00:17:31] Really I know about obviously the Holocaust and stuff maybe I didn't realize that was no Yeah, you know in me so there was there was four. I believe there was the fire in squad. Mm-hmm There was the electric chair. Yeah, obviously lethal injection
[00:17:44] Which was the newest out of the lot hanging and then the gas chip the gas chamber Yeah, that was hanging that hangings a bit further back than that though. You're looking That's way further back. Yeah, we know it's not What in 1977? 77 was the last France. Yes
[00:18:03] It's still getting used me true true, but he wasn't in the fucking town square like it used to be Yeah No, yeah, no, you know, it's funny you said that because I was gonna do an episode on torture methods
[00:18:16] No, no, but it fell into just on some I was watching and I only recently learned that that was Even a nice crazy Gas chamber as well. Sorry don't want to cut you off anymore. But that was the worst one Oh, it was horrific
[00:18:31] The death that they experienced there was by far the worst out of the lot unless you obviously didn't wet sponge then Electrocution would be that or if you neck didn't break when you get home. I mean, yeah Anyway, right
[00:18:44] So chase granted a series of interviews with Robert K. Kessler during which he spoke of his fears of Nazis and UFOs Claiming that although he had killed it was not his fault He had been forced to kill to keep himself alive, which he believed any person would do
[00:19:01] He asked wrestler to give him access to a radar gun with which he could apprehend the Nazi UFOs Oh great, so the Nazis could stand trial for the murders. You also handed wrestler a large amount of macaroni and cheese Which he had been hoarding in his pants pockets
[00:19:17] Believing that the prison officials were in league with the Nazis and attempting to kill him with poison food Is this just because he's going in the gas chamber? Is this why he's? Go Like I say, this is what I mean. He is mentally ill like he probably does
[00:19:31] He probably does genuinely fucking worse than and I wouldn't know sorry. No to let me rephrase that. Um, he's just as bad as the Nazis No, but this is what I'm saying though. He thinks He thinks that he thinks his Nazis and UFOs out to get him
[00:19:45] That's the point. He thinks they're the ones making him do this. Great. This is what I mean This is this why I say he definitely is mentally ill. Yeah. Oh, yeah Mentally ill you can still be you can still
[00:19:56] You still commit premeditated murder if you're mentally ill. There's my whole point to which I shan't say before but like said And I think the fact that he's you know, he's keeping fucking mac and cheese in his pockets Yeah, well, I mean to be fair
[00:20:08] I've put down here to tell me to tell you about the time when I woke up after a night out and I had A full kebab in my pockets. I expected nothing less A full kebab. Yeah, great garlic sauce and everything just just yeah, just in my jeans
[00:20:22] Not not like in a in a pot Just the kebab. Yeah, yeah, just fantastic They'd salad sauce I mean, please detail me how you how that came about that you found that
[00:20:34] Well, I woke up and I woke up I woke up flat out my bed still still clothed. Yeah, and yeah I think I probably don't to go for piss And then like obviously I got it. I was and then I thought I've probably gone for a slash
[00:20:46] You know being like I was at a slash come look at me bedroom. Probably took me top I've got to take my trousers off and I think I think it just fell out on the floor. I was thinking
[00:20:55] Fucks that and then I'm sure just gone in me pockets and they're just full of kebab Birds next mate, I've woken up with some states though. I'll tell you. Yeah. Yeah, I woke up once
[00:21:06] I still don't know what the hell happened. I woke up after a night out completely bollock naked Both had put me shoes back on And this was a time when I went out with me now if I go out down to sit down record town
[00:21:19] This was I must have been about 17 18. I was on the first that I going out so, you know, you have to go out and smart stuff Yeah, you wear shoes. Yeah, so like proper ski proper shoes. Well, it wasn't like a pair of chains
[00:21:32] But I had took my socks off. Oh, so it's just the shoes literally completely stark is what I had me shoes on God, I wish there was a camera in the room the night before I fucking don't So, yeah, right so on October 26 1980
[00:21:47] Chase was found dead in his prison cell and autopsy revealed that he killed himself with an overdose or prescribed medication Fucking bullshit that let him have medication. So there's left him in I couldn't give two flying toss pots
[00:22:00] I mean to be fair quite clearly whatever he was taking wasn't helping me should be left It was having an effect on him. I dread to think what he would have been like without it
[00:22:08] Yeah, no, I'd want to see it. I've put straight in that little fucking sponge cell. What you call it You know, I'm talking about padded room padded room. It's got a name on it
[00:22:17] Is that what it's called? Put him in there leave him in there until he goes in the gas chamber He's already insane Fuck it Human rights and shit the window the race. Yeah, I know
[00:22:29] Anyway, so as we all know they were added to end my episodes is by some sort of over media around these cases Like I always managed to find there is a film released in 1987 by the name rampage
[00:22:41] Which which is based on his crimes like it's what it's very it's one of them It's very loosely based on it Like the characters and all the names are changed and stuff. So the main character isn't him
[00:22:52] Hmm, it's based on what he did. So I mean I've not watched it and I haven't watched it but it's got a 50-50 split on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.2 out of 10 on IMDb
[00:23:04] So you might be worth watching it might not. Hmm. I'm gonna watch it and let us know. Yeah, definitely and We did you have another one? No, no, that's it. I was just gonna ask you questions
[00:23:15] I do made a deal thought of some they're a bit fucked up. Right, but we knew him on a right if you had the choice to eat a So before we go into this little weird conversation
[00:23:28] I mean Billy at the end of this episode where I play a quick little trailer for you This is a trailer for prime time crime. So I've listened to this welcome to prime time crime podcast I am your host Kylie and in this podcast

[00:23:53] Talk about it all and try to bring justice to these families after all of these years We are gonna take out one story at a time one case at a time and hopefully justice will be ours
[00:24:04] Right then back to this really fucking strange conversation. We have at the end of this episode a domestic cat Raw is dead. It's roadkill. Okay, you unkill it How long has it been dead? Is it fresh?
[00:24:19] Yeah, I'm talking a couple of hours or a couple of days. Let's let's say eight hours Just be on the turn So either eat that raw or Have someone present you with a cooked piece of a human thigh
[00:24:37] But you wouldn't find out that you ate a human five for another five years What are you doing? You eating the raw cat you're having the fire Shite cannibal Cannibal Yeah, I knew that would play a part
[00:24:52] You're a fucking chef. That's why I don't know what it is Yeah, and but you will find out yeah, well this is wrong. This is wrong I want to say people can judge me on this, but I think five years I Think I could deal with that
[00:25:06] There's one came up to me five years ago. Do you remember that steak at five years ago? Taste a bit different to normal. Yeah, well those are someone's leg. I probably go But then like I probably go
[00:25:20] Well, I mean it's not done. It's not affected me. Yeah, I mean Well, I know how did how did the fire die Well, I did the die of natural causes that's it yeah the died of night It was an old woman in the 90s. I'll be tough then
[00:25:38] In the 90s died of natural old age mate, yeah, yeah, I'm still going with the fire fuck my What else could I have said that to change your mind? fucking prime athletes That would have been better. I've been like a fillet steak. Yeah
[00:25:54] I tried to pull them off didn't work. I'm not gonna go too dark because It's already dead Yeah, but I'm not gonna in five years time No one's gonna turn around to me and say you've had an old woman what you're serving the fire with
[00:26:12] pasta and cheese by the Throw back to the David Hacker episode No, we like to he loves this Look on the lighter side of things you do you do and no, it's it's just a fire man
[00:26:26] So it looks no different to you that eyes in there. No sides can have any sources. No, you can't Yeah Can't change his mind Well have any sources with the cat any sides of the car you can't make it's both fair enough then I'm sticking with a fine
