VICTOR! Are you still alive???
We were going to cover The Fluffy Bunny Show with Sweet Little Granny this week, but unfortunately that time slot was needed urgently.
The Secret Show is something that we are INCREDIBLY fond of, and have been for a very long time. Not only is it one of the funniest shows we have covered, but it also features some of our most beloved characters (looking at you, Ray and Ray's boys <33333).
As it was Elsie's birthday on the day of recording, we fancied something requiring minimal research and maximum fun. It's low on the intellect and high on laughs - what we mean is, this is no Tracy Beaker!
And halfway through, we take a break to argue about which one of us is the coolest - answers on a postcard please.
Enjoy!

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_07]: This content contains podcasts. This adult contains podcast content.
[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Adult content, be advised. Enjoy the episode. And I have a feeling I cannot confirm this that...
[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_07]: That's feelings.
[00:00:56] Right.
[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Hello! We've not recorded in a while have we?
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_07]: I know have you missed them?
[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_07]: We actually did record last week. I completely forgot but we didn't put the sound mat down.
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_07]: We just sat on the cold hard floor.
[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh yeah that's right! Yeah, yeah, yeah we did record. We recorded a once-over first draft of our live
[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_07]: show which I'm sure you've already been, you've faced an advert about that because that's...
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_07]: You've definitely already booked tickets as well haven't you?
[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_07]: We know that.
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_07]: We don't actually know that. Please book tickets.
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_07]: So it's a very special day today. LC is 26.
[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes I had a bit of what I think was sciatica last night.
[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_07]: She came into the kitchen she was like I think I've trapped a nerve and I was like
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_07]: if you'd trapped a nerve you'd know.
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_07]: I think LC you just had a herty back.
[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Well it gave me great comfort to know that I probably hadn't trapped a nerve.
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, yeah you would know.
[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_07]: But I did have to lie down on the ground raising my hips.
[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh I have to do that all the time on my period.
[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_07]: I have to.
[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh well then that's coming up so...
[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Don't they say that your period changes every five years?
[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Like I thought it was 10 years.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_07]: Or 10 years like some of your period.
[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Honestly it's continuing to be a mystery even into the modern age.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_07]: But like what was true about you five years ago was not true anymore.
[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_07]: Like different symptoms basically.
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Is it is it too bold to in the first five minutes of this episode talk about anal spasms?
[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_07]: No.
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh god I hate them.
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Me and my brother both get them.
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_07]: What? I thought it was a woman thing.
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_07]: No.
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Sorry Sean I'm sorry I'm sorry.
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry.
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_07]: I thought it was like a period thing.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_07]: No okay yeah.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah they're bad.
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_07]: Matt that we've already been doing this for like 15 years as well.
[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_07]: We've already been having periods for like 15 years.
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Well mine was when I was 13 so yeah.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Nearly 15 years.
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_07]: 12 years I've been having them.
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_07]: 14.
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_07]: I was 12.
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_07]: You're 26 at it.
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh yeah I'm 26.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_07]: It's also the fourth year anniversary of us living here.
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_07]: It is we moved in on my birthday.
[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Well we moved in that me and Meg moved in the day before and then else
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_07]: rocked over their dad and had so little stuff in comparison to me.
[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_07]: It was such a nice day when me and Laura moved in and my mum and dad helped us
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_07]: because her granddad drove us here and he's in his 80s and they were like well we can't
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_07]: let him carry things up the stairs and it was like 30 degrees.
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah am I on the top floor?
[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah by the time we and we don't have an elevator or anything by the time we finished
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_07]: my dad drenched his shirt was C3.
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_07]: So Elsie how's your birthday being?
[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Would you like to tell everyone what we've been up to?
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes I'll tell you what happened on my birthday.
[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_07]: So we these two organised a cat cafe for me.
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Just organised all of it just for you.
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_07]: It was lovely yes it was supposed to be a surprise but a few weeks ago.
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah surprises.
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah well Laura oh my god never tell her anything.
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_07]: No I'll tell the story.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Basically it's such a nice thing for me and Laura to do because we're both really really
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_07]: this is really allergic to cats.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Deathly allergic.
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Offering ourselves up to the altar of allergy like we were in suffering.
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_07]: You opened your bodies up to allergens today for me and I really appreciate it.
[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_07]: And a few months ago I was given some of the really hefty antihistamines because
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm in such a difficult summer and we went out for yeah went out and had some wine didn't we?
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_07]: And mex allergic to wine.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah I'm also allergic to alcohol yeah we went out and had some wine a few
[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_07]: while ago and got really drunk and Laura started Laura she gets really loose
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_07]: slipped when she's drunk because she started like she was sat next to me and she started
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_07]: nudging me and she was like don't use all the hyps and she's like don't use the
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_07]: stock up.
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_07]: We still have some of those by Elsie's birthday for the you know thing.
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_07]: And I was sat like two feet away from Laura looking at her like oh my god come on
[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_07]: are you being serious?
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Which point Elsie went are we going to a cat cafe?
[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Because what else would it be and that's how Elsie found out about it.
[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_08]: About a whole month before we were supposed to be doing it.
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah if we went like horseback riding I would need mega antihistamines again.
[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_08]: I think what me and you had six each antihistamines?
[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_07]: I had five but I went in sat down and didn't really move I didn't touch a cat and no
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_07]: cats touched me there was hair everywhere and I was starting to get a bit
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_07]: snickering but Laura joined in.
[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah and so she couldn't resist.
[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_08]: She did it to herself.
[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I had like over a gram of antihistamines today.
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_08]: You're all right now.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah I'm fine now.
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I one of the cats
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_07]: scratched her a lot.
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Scratched the shit out of one of my hands.
[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_07]: So yeah so we went to a cat cafe.
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_07]: And then a few weeks ago these two were saying like oh just like
[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_07]: schedules and stuff we're gonna we're gonna have to record on your
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_07]: birthday is that okay do you want to do that and I was like yeah of course I do
[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_07]: I enjoy it.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Look how much fun we're having.
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Happy birthday.
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Well that's great for you because I wouldn't want to fucking do that on my birthday.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Don't say that.
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh I want to do something else other than sitting.
[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_08]: That is so not true.
[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_08]: You love to sit.
[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_08]: You would just like to sit in a chair.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah yeah that's my birthday can we go to a studio because my leg is already dead.
[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_08]: If we're recording on our birthdays few moving forwards let's book a studio
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_08]: make a thing of it.
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_07]: So yeah so we went to Westfield for this cat cafe and then we went into this
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Japanese like new Japanese supermarket on the way back and Elsie and Laura both
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_07]: I've got a beer for recording.
[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Elsie and Laura both bought like individual like personal sized bottles of soju
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_07]: which is meant to be what pear and apple wine 16 percent.
[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_07]: It tastes like vodka.
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_07]: I think it's horrible.
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Previously I've had flavored ones right and I thought it was tweedo.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know I've got a bit of squash in mine and it's perfectly nice
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_07]: so that's what we're drinking right now.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_07]: It's interesting but I've not eaten really and I've had what would you say a few sips
[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_07]: of mine and I'm actually feeling it.
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_07]: So yeah it's strong.
[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_07]: It's amazing that something that 16 percent can taste like something that's 40
[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_07]: percent like it snips.
[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_07]: Like vodka.
[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_07]: It snips like fucking paint.
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah it really does.
[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_07]: I'll be honest with you listening it's absolutely vile.
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm putting on a brave face.
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Try it once get one of the flavored ones.
[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_07]: What's it called again?
[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Shojo.
[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_07]: Shoot wait.
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Shojo.
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Soju.
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Soju thank you.
[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry I've been watching a lot of anime.
[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Likely think for you to be doing.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_07]: The most Laura sentence you've ever said.
[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry I've been asleep all day and I've been watching a lot of
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_07]: anime.
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_07]: So typical.
[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry I've been writing a lot of fan fiction.
[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_07]: That isn't one of my top 10.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Sorry I've been in the new Japanese supermarket after going to a cat cafe I'm sorry.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_07]: What's a really typical thing for Elsie to say?
[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Sorry I've been having mouse dinner.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah so don't yeah okay mouse dinner is like girl dinner but it's like bits it's like
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_07]: crackers and cheese.
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah sometimes my dinner is that which
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_07]: I know is really bad but like as long as I'm not hungry I'm kind of not bothered.
[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_07]: I know it's terrible.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_07]: No I mean if you're taking multi bits you'll be fine.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_07]: What's a really me thing to say?
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah sorry I've been going for a shit.
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah I need to sit down on the toilet.
[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_07]: My leg's already dead that's a really me thing to say.
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh look I've got to call the doctors.
[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh wait sorry I need to.
[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_07]: You have paused recording in our go back and listen to our big cook little cook little cook
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_07]: episode because she says I'm sorry we've got to stop I'm actually a bit concerned and we called
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_07]: one one one you always are talking to a medical professional.
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_08]: I thought I was having a stroke.
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Sorry I need to take a codeine.
[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_07]: The reason that we're talking so much about not the show is because this show as much
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_07]: as I adore it there isn't a huge amount to say about it without just listing things that happen in it.
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you want more Padding?
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_07]: I thought well I have something to say.
[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god she's got a joke.
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh god no.
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_08]: It's I had a dream the other day which was basically like us in the future but we're
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_08]: really successful and hate each other.
[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Like Oasis!
[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_08]: So they came back so.
[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_08]: We like pretend for the the public that we like each other's we turn up to
[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_08]: like a studio to do the podcast with like an assistant.
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Kim and Nagi did that.
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah yeah they do yeah.
[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_08]: How how soon how like you turn to your assistant you're like how soon can we get out of here I
[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_08]: don't want to be around these two anymore any longer than necessary.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_08]: That's so sad.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_08]: One of you two said that and I remember a sadder going we used to be friends.
[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god that's so sad.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_08]: What did you do?
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_08]: No I have no idea what's wrong with what you do.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_08]: I have no idea what happened like I didn't find out in the dream because I woke up and we were friends again so.
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Did we break up because of like one of our egos or something?
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_07]: I genuinely have no idea.
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_07]: There's nothing like one of those dreams that you're when you wake up from it you're grateful
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_07]: that it was just a dream to make you grateful about your reality.
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_07]: I had one of those last week when I woke up I was like thank god that's not real.
[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_08]: The only thing I'd like from that world is that we were like really we were all successful
[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_08]: enough to have assistance.
[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah yeah they cost a lot of money.
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_07]: You guys are my assistants.
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Right now you're my assistant.
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Meg is my... earlier I was thinking about how if well if if the podcast was body parts
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Elsie's like the heart and soul.
[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh not the brain.
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm the bones and you're I don't know and you're the skin I don't know what you are.
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_07]: I would say you're the you're the chatterbox you're like the voice
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_07]: no no no I think that yes thank you heart and soul you're definitely like bones or respiratory
[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_07]: system or like circulatory system or something and I think Laura is all cosmetic like a really good
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_07]: hairdo and I know that sounds like we could easily...
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_07]: You're the sex appeal.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah yeah yeah that's it.
[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_07]: I know that makes you sound dispensable but you're not.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_07]: No you know how you know how important sex appeal is in the biz.
[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_07]: I think you're the brain.
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Cheers.
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Because currently the body you're describing.
[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think she's the brain?
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Well she's the one idea.
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_08]: She's the brains of the operation.
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah but who keeps the motor going?
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_07]: No exactly but then that's the heart isn't it?
[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_08]: It does keep the motor going.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Meg does.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Then you're the heart.
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm no I'm not.
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Elsie's definitely the heart.
[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Elsie is definitely...
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_07]: She might be the brain as well which is definitely the heart.
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_08]: And I thought I'd be like the stomach or something.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Could you have some cream?
[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_12]: You know how you know how we say...
[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh he's thinking about food.
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sorry I moved away from my feet.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_08]: I was thinking about sick because of food and sick.
[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Because you're so sick.
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Because I'm so sicky.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_08]: You know how we describe...
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_07]: You're more than sick.
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_07]: We describe ourselves on social media as a three-headed monster
[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_07]: because we all have those accounts.
[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_07]: What if we're actually like three of the four stomachs in the cow?
[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_08]: The four...
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_08]: I get it.
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_08]: They don't exist yet.
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_08]: The four stomach doesn't exist.
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Mr. Adobe.
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_07]: You actually can't speak to Laura on social media really
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_07]: unless you're in the discord.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_07]: So when we're more like me and Elsie
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_07]: in normal heads of the dragon
[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_07]: and Laura is like some dwarf...
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_07]: A sloth.
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_07]: The tail.
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_07]: It's not like when a dolphin puts half of its brain to sleep.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh shall we talk about the secret show?
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_07]: We just spent so long doing a preamble
[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_07]: which I will heavily cut down.
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_07]: And we've all been drinking
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_07]: so now let's get onto the fucking topic.
[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_07]: So the secret show was...
[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_07]: What are you doing with your fingers?
[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Okay the secret show was 52 episodes long, two seasons.
[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Started in 2006, ended in 2007.
[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_07]: I watched it as a kid right?
[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_07]: And in lockdown me and Arthur and Betty
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_07]: rewatched the whole thing.
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Start to finish using a mixture of daily motion
[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_07]: and box of broadcasts using I think Arthur's uni email.
[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_07]: If you want to watch it now though,
[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_07]: it's all on internet archive.
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_07]: It's all on internet archive.
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_07]: So go do that because daily motion adverts are annoying.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_07]: I actually have given money to internet archive
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_07]: and Wikipedia because of the person I am.
[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_07]: I appreciate all media.
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_07]: I'd love to work at internet archive.
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I think both those organisations do wonderful work.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Anyway...
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_17]: So our entire solar system has been shrunk
[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_17]: and turned into a mobile
[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_17]: hanging in a floaty head princess's bedroom
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_17]: aboard a mothership heading to who knows where.
[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_17]: Wow hung up by the floaties.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_17]: Quite.
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_17]: This is a terrible breach of world security now.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_17]: As you know, I take security so seriously.
[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_17]: My name is changed daily.
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_17]: Today you may call me.
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_07]: So the secret show is about a core team of four.
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_07]: It's Professor Professor who's the scientist
[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_07]: and he's kind of like Q.
[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_07]: Victor are you still alive?
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Victor Volt Anita...
[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Two seconds ago we were in Switzerland.
[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_04]: How did that happen?
[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Someone stealing Switzerland.
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_07]: And the kind of M character who his name for reasons of security
[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_07]: is changed daily.
[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_07]: So everyone always refers to him as changed daily as a name.
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_07]: But every episode he has a different name
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_07]: and it's always hilarious.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_08]: I reckon that a long time ago he stopped needing
[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_08]: a different name every day.
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Like his clearance was fine now
[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_08]: but the people who do it were like,
[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_08]: let's just keep going.
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's just keep giving him name.
[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, okay.
[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_08]: It's not like Tom.
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_07]: It's always like wiggly.
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah it's like...
[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Well I'm going to post a super cut of all of them.
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm gonna try and make that myself.
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm gonna attempt that.
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_07]: It might take a long time but I'm gonna give it a go.
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_17]: Cheeky chops.
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_17]: Yummy, yummy says my tummy.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_17]: S...
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_17]: Mommy dearest squeaky fritter.
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_17]: Char char mittens.
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_17]: Spicy onion dick.
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_17]: Fru fu flabber faucet.
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_17]: Tiguan snuggle pens.
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_17]: Semi sauce box.
[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_17]: Silly lily lung button.
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_17]: Mimsy woo woo.
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_17]: Chocolate botty.
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_17]: Ickl babykins.
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_17]: Rumpel stilt skinnier.
[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_17]: Prepare to be collected.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_17]: Leerpulled snack trousers.
[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_17]: Sissy flip flops.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_17]: Oh!
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_17]: Bubbles.
[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_17]: Kissy cuddles.
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_17]: Pookey wookey.
[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_17]: Oinkie doinkie.
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_17]: Honder von lamp gurgle.
[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_17]: Slinky waggle bot.
[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_17]: Broccoli spears.
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_17]: Patty cake.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_17]: Antenobot.
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_17]: Nibbley knobbly knock knees.
[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_17]: Flancy onesie bansy bin.
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_17]: Fluffy tummy.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_17]: Peek-a-boo.
[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_17]: Tickle tickle poppy top.
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_17]: Windy pops.
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_17]: Engelbert humpidink.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_17]: Pongo piffle paws.
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_17]: Kimberley bimberley.
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_17]: Princess dainty kicks.
[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_17]: Stinky winky.
[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_17]: Nibbles McPee.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_17]: Flobber wobba boba boba boba.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_17]: Bobba.
[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_19]: Some of my favourites are
[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Rumpel stilt skinny.
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_07]: That one's good.
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_07]: Prepare to be collected.
[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Engelbert humpidink.
[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Engelbert humpidink was won in a kind of Eurovision themed episode
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_07]: because that's a real singer.
[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_17]: The security of the world and theme competition has been breached.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_17]: That's on television tonight.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_17]: Exactly it is.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_17]: And security is everything.
[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_07]: One was like fluffy wuffykin.
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's always like Ickle babykins or something.
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Mimsy woo-woo is good.
[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_07]: I love the name Mimsy.
[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_07]: But for like a cat or a dog, not for a person.
[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_07]: It's like a dog that would wear a bow and sit in a pram though, isn't it?
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_07]: So what do you think of The Secret Show?
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Love it.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Love it.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Love it.
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Love it.
[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Watched it as a kid, loved it then.
[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Watched it as an adult.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Love it now.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_07]: It's so funny.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_07]: I did like it but...
[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh here we go.
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_08]: It's got that kind of...
[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know why we were like completely entranced by high five
[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_08]: and watched loads of it all together.
[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_08]: The thing with The Secret Show that I found it because the...
[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_07]: It's fundamentally kind of stupid.
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, of course.
[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Which I liked at first but there's like a certain amount of that
[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_07]: I could watch as an adult before it starts to like get grating.
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_07]: It's what Netflix would describe as irreverent.
[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_07]: True.
[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Um, yeah so it was like I watched...
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_07]: I liked everything I watched but I was like okay if I keep watching more or all now
[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_07]: it's gonna start annoying me.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean I feel that way about most cartoons because they're very loud.
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_07]: And that's the thing as a kid you wouldn't be binge watching it like me
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_07]: and Elsie did this afternoon.
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_07]: You'd watch like one in an afternoon.
[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah or maybe there's like a few reruns and then it switches to another show worth of reruns.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Um, the what me and Arthur and Betty really enjoyed about it
[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_07]: when we were watching it over lockdown was
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_07]: it feels like a lovely working environment that they all have.
[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_07]: That's very true.
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_07]: Like it starts off in a room where Change Daily is at the front
[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_07]: leaning on his and Laura's posing like a...
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Leaning on his mantle piece with all his knickknacks on top.
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_07]: And he...
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_07]: He loves his knickknacks.
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_07]: And he gives the mission to Anita, Victor and Professor Professor who are all sat in big chairs.
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_07]: So it's like they're the core sort of group of...
[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_07]: They're called USUZZ and I can't remember what that stands for but
[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_07]: their organisation is US and we're kind of led to believe that it's sort of a
[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_07]: multinational sort of thing because Victor's American, Anita is British,
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Professor Professor is obviously German.
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_07]: I know he's Bavarian, sorry he's Bavarian.
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Specifically.
[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Specifically.
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_07]: And Change Daily is British and it never really says where they are.
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_07]: And he gives them their mission and they go off and complete the mission usually aided by
[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_07]: one of Professor Professor's gadgets which he likes to say all the time is
[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_07]: completely untested and highly dangerous.
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_07]: And sometimes Change Daily pops up there as well and he's always with his mantle piece,
[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_07]: the mantle piece comes with him.
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_07]: And I don't really know how else to describe it.
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_07]: It's a difficult one because they're like 10 minutes long each.
[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Like everything's wrapped up.
[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_17]: Well done team.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_17]: After Brain C-Page formed a tiny planet orbiting his head,
[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_17]: Professor Professor was at last able to reabsorb all the mini professors.
[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_17]: Thus remembering how to remove my alien prison cap.
[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_17]: And so I was not transformed into a very large orchid.
[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_08]: It falls in the same sort of, to me, mental categories like totally spies,
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Kim possible, exactly.
[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Charlie's Angels if you want like a live action where it's like spy stuff but it's very like
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_08]: action spy.
[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Action spy, very cheeky.
[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Unserious.
[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Very like very unserious in a way that I did really like.
[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_08]: I liked how it made fun of tropes in its own genre where there's one episode where
[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_08]: someone's running away and Anita is chasing them and she goes oh how do people run away
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_07]: before ventilation shafts?
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah yeah.
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_07]: How do people escape?
[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah I really loved that.
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_07]: And there's four main, no sorry three main villains.
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_07]: So you've got Dr. Doctor.
[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_07]: She's um Dr. Doctor is like a mad scientist who it went to uni with Professor Professor.
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah turns out was students with Professor Professor and she's got a very wobbly teeth
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_07]: when she talks her teeth wobble.
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_07]: And in season two there's an episode called the killer toothbrushes or something and it turns out that
[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_07]: when they were students Professor Professor and Dr. Doctor made a creation together.
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_07]: And Professor Professor the good one wants to abandon it in space because it's bad
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_07]: and she refuses to and he says look what it's done to your teeth.
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_08]: It's very like they went with the bare bones of alien.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah I know exactly.
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_08]: And then they were like okay but you have to go back to that space station
[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_08]: and don't pick it up but you have picked it up yeah.
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_06]: That's satellite.
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Why Dr. Doctor?
[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Why?
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_06]: The same as is why, why because they want it that's why.
[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean quicker side, Dr. Dr. Professor Professor Professor.
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_07]: You so there's a flashback and they're still calling each other Dr.
[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Doctor and Professor Professor when they're students, no.
[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Exactly.
[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_07]: It would be Miss Doctor and Mr. Professor or whatever their names are and also you can't
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_07]: be a professor unless you're a teacher.
[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Student student and student student.
[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Student Doctor and student professor.
[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Professor Professor is a teacher he teaches them.
[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_07]: He teaches?
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Well okay like he class.
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_07]: He teaches them how to use their untested and highly dangerous gadgets.
[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_07]: You can't be a professor unless you're like within an institution.
[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_07]: He also has a brother called Maestro Maestro who was a conductor.
[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Change Daily also has his backstory which we find out in I think season two um the woman one.
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah so part of his knickknacks is a photograph of a woman and then it's brought up in season two.
[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_04]: So there are no missions today.
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_07]: That's what I keep telling you.
[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_17]: What none at all?
[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_18]: What do you expect?
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_18]: It's raining.
[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_18]: Come on just because it's raining doesn't mean.
[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_17]: Oh the marshmallow is ready yet Professor Professor.
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_17]: What marshmallows?
[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_17]: What you greeted little?
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_18]: Ah my name of the day.
[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_18]: As we're all just hanging out today there's something I've always wanted to ask you
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_18]: Iqo Babykins.
[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_17]: Oh who's the girl on your mantelpiece?
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_17]: I don't know what you're talking about.
[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_02]: This one it's a big three this one this one this one.
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_17]: Don't hurt my Lucy.
[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't like that.
[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_04]: What was it like Iqo Babykins?
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_18]: You can tell us.
[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_18]: Can't.
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_17]: Come on Lucy who?
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_17]: Oh Lucy who if you must know.
[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_17]: We were secret agents together Victor and Anita of our day.
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_17]: How well I remember our last mission together.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_17]: I bet you do.
[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_17]: It wasn't like that.
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_17]: It wasn't like that.
[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_07]: They were like the victor and Anita of their day.
[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_08]: This is like because so on the back of the photo it's like please save me I found the evil layer
[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_07]: and he because she she pretends to be on the villain side at the end of the in this mission
[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_07]: when they were finally parted and yeah and like she pushes him off a cliff basically.
[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_07]: And sends a photo with him and on the back of the photo it's like please help me I was just acting
[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_07]: and he doesn't he didn't look at it for 20 years.
[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Well he he said she used to call me potato.
[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_07]: And they were like what do you mean?
[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Well look on this picture it says PTO.
[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_07]: It's just so full of he says patoo.
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's like that's where the stupid comes in because it's like so dumb.
[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_07]: You're like a high you know like skilled spy but you didn't turn over the fucking picture.
[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_07]: It's just so full of incredibly dumb shit like there's like it's full of puns but it's also full
[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_07]: of just really stupid stuff so there's an episode where Victor is in a transporter machine
[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_07]: and there's a cat there as well and they switch molecules so Victor's turning into a cat
[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_07]: and professor professor says Victor there's something wrong with you and he goes me how?
[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_07]: And then so he's got nine lives in this episode so he can do lots of dangerous stuff in the pursuit
[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_07]: of this cat but there's like an obstacle thing in this chase where it's like a stamp it's like a
[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_07]: metal like press thing and he stays under it for about four stamps so he loses like four
[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_07]: lives at once because the episode's only 10 minutes like it's just such stupid stuff.
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_07]: It reminds me of um Cronk and Yzma. Oh yeah it's very that. Pull the lever and yeah
[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_07]: that those are the hydrink's level and they're all unbelievably incompetent they're all really
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_07]: incompetent. Anita's much more competent. Well that was going to be my next I mean
[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_07]: once again we found ourselves with a show where the woman is the competent slightly boring one.
[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah I don't think she's that boring. I don't think she's that boring but that's a good point
[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_08]: where you keep keep there's so many especially animated shows where the only one who can do
[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_07]: fucking anything is a woman. Yeah I like Anita a lot I think she's a great character but
[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_07]: it always bothered me that the one that like got all the jokes was Victor. Yeah and the wider
[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_07]: same in Kim Possible. Kim's very able and Ron is just jokes. Yeah and the wider workplace of us
[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_07]: you've got Ray who's I guess like head of security. Yeah I love Ray. Ray's lovely.
[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Sorry. Well yeah sorry I just remembered which one that is. So why are we watching it in lockdown
[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_07]: me and Arthur Abeddi. Well I've got a voice note from Arthur and shall I play it?
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I love Secret Show. I love Secret Show. I love Secret Show. I would make love to every
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_07]: single character in that show. I just played that to make the point that we all fancied every
[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_07]: single character all three of us really fancied every character in that show. Not in a kind of
[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_07]: how do I explain this we just have an immense fondness for every character. Yes Ray being we
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_07]: love Ray and we were shipping Ray with every other character like Ray and changed Ailey are
[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_07]: me. Ray and Victor. Ray the one with the glasses. All the service secret security guys have got
[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_07]: glasses because they all look similar. Ray's the bigger one. Ray's the one in the slightly
[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_07]: different at the suit it's like a blue suit. He's got like an earpiece of blue suit aviators.
[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_16]: Hey hey hey hey hey pass please. Pass? Pass. Oh no pass. Hey come on I just did the eye thing even
[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_18]: the mom thing I mean do I really I mean it's a code red you don't pass without the pass. Morning.
[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_18]: Thanks ma'am. Buddy old friend it's Victor how long have I known you Ray? Ray. Ray. Five years 10
[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_18]: you're gonna throw that away Ray. Look it's not about- If we had kids they'd play together
[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_18]: did you know that Ray? Would they? Best friends why didn't uncle Ray let you into work daddy?
[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_18]: I don't know son. Doesn't uncle Ray love me anymore? No son I don't think he does.
[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_16]: Hey Victor I didn't mean to- Upset our kids. I'm sorry Victor I- Tickle tickle tickle.
[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_16]: Tickle tickle I love you big guy. Oh okay just this once. Can I can I go can I go? Go on get
[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_18]: out of here. Thanks Ray you're one in a million. Say hi to Julie. Yeah I who's Julie?
[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_16]: That guy. He's the one in a million that Victor. Hi Ray. Hi Victor.
[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_07]: But Ray we don't have any kids! We love Ray so what we love about Ray is that he's got his men
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_07]: around him he's got he's got his guys like and they all they all love him and essential part
[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_07]: of a girl's day out good crew yeah he's got a great crew like it just feels like a lovely
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_07]: working environment that they all have like for some reason you get the feeling from these
[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_07]: sort of extra characters that all are animated exactly the same just to fill a scene yeah you
[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_07]: kind of get the idea that they had just have a lovely office environment. Ray what on earth are
[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_16]: you? Oh hello Victor the the lads taught me into having a go. Yeah he has a gift sir it
[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_16]: should be encouraged. And why are you all here with him? We're back in singers. Ray Mondo and the
[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_18]: Rayettes on in ten on in ten. Ray Mondo? Well we could use your help Ray Mondo. I'll never
[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_04]: leave this down. Right spread out men and check the dressing rooms for Doctor Doctor. I would love
[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_08]: uh you know they have like all forensic expert reviews movies for yeah I'd love a former spy
[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_07]: how accurate is the secret show? Um yeah there's a a bit where see this is kind of like my problem
[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_07]: with this show is that covering it is hard because there's basically zero information on the background
[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_07]: of it and how who who wrote it and like well you can find out who wrote it but like the production
[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_07]: of it like all of that so I don't want to fall into like the trap of just listing things
[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_07]: that have happened but just a way to illustrate this point is there's the threat in every episode is
[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_07]: the end of the world. Yeah and there's one episode where Ray in his lunch hour has built an end of
[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_07]: the world omitter with like light bulbs going up to the top and when it gets to the top.
[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah yeah at the top there's like fireworks and when the when the world is saved Ray's like
[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_07]: well what about my fireworks and one of his men is like
[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_16]: so my end of the world fireworks spectacular as often? Never mind Ray let's set him off anyway.
[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_17]: Well done team. Yes thankfully the code to destroy the world is no longer in the brain of a cat
[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_17]: but back in the back in the brain back in the jelly of back in the wobble of uh
[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_17]: it's it's certainly a oh come on we're missing the fireworks. Come on let's go.
[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_07]: And it's just so nice it's so nice. I think if I came home at the end of a work day and had
[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_07]: saved the world I'd want a lot more than fireworks. Yeah they work hard they're hard
[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_07]: workers. The world is on the precipice fucking daily in this show. Changed daily. The other villains I
[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_07]: didn't actually mention the other one sorry you've got Doctor Doctor and she's head of the
[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_07]: organization of them so you've got us and them and then- You know if you're evil your university
[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_07]: will take your doctorate away from you so. Oh well then yeah so them sounds for the horrible
[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_07]: evil men. Men I don't know actually but it's it's us and them which is funny whatever then
[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_07]: you've got that's a joke um you've got the imposters the imposters are like masked villains they live
[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_07]: uh 900 miles no 90 miles they live 90 miles underground so when they went underground to
[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_07]: go fight them there were raptors. Oh okay yeah because they live underground I guess. Yeah I watched
[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_08]: an episode with lizard raptors and they were like how you identify lizard raptors they smell
[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_07]: fuck it awful it's like okay. So their thing is that they can turn into like a hologram of
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_18]: anyone. Yeah. Ding ba doo. Two seconds we lasted two seconds. So much for Professor Professor's plan.
[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Huh? Huh? What plan? Professor Professor. What are you doing here? What are you doing here? No what
[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_02]: are you doing here? You sent us here remember? I sent you into the lair of the imposters I'd never
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_02]: do anything so stupid anyway how could I they caught me two months ago. What two two two months
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_04]: months ago oh and oh no then who's up there? Oh you seem very happy today Professor Professor.
[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_19]: Oh yes.
[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_07]: This is why you gotta secret codes you gotta have them fucking ready well they they have their
[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_07]: own secret codes so I just start dancing right it's just the the theme tune to identify who's
[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah yeah so in literally episode one yeah and there's two in eaters and she starts singing the
[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_07]: theme tune and Victor is like oh that's the real Anita but before that both Anita's are trying to
[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_07]: get Victor to come towards them and it's a great way of establishing characters in the first episode
[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_07]: because both Anita's not just the real one both of them are going come on Victor good boy come
[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_07]: and it's like yes that's Victor.
[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_04]: No no Victor I'm the real Anita don't listen to her Victor I'm the real Anita come to me come on boy
[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_04]: come on Victor I've got the treat come on yes Victor come on boy come to me come on come on Victor
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Victor are you still alive? Impostors do you have their own like saying they say to each other
[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_07]: they go ding badoo yeah and after watching it for like two episodes we're like that's really
[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_07]: dumb and then after about 20 episodes every time they went ding badoo me and Arthur and
[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Betty would just fall about I think if we're ever in a shapeshifter situation
[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_07]: ding badoo's a great secret code okay fine yeah yeah yeah if that ever happens yeah
[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_07]: do you know what I love? I love the intro it's banging it's starting I'm not even talking about
[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_07]: the music I'm talking about the pre-credits scene oh I can't believe I've not mentioned that yet
[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_07]: every time and it starts every time with a little old lady in a rocking chair outside
[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_07]: and she's got a sweet little granny is her name sweet little granny and she's got like a ukulele
[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_07]: and loads of little rabbits around her it's called the fluffy bunny show perfect piece
[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_07]: you would fucking love that show oh he'd eat it up I because I think I saw one where they blow her up
[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_08]: yeah right so they like clear out all the bunnies make all their men move back and hand her a bomb
[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_07]: and walk away and I was like so go explain Meg yeah so the idea is that they need that time slot to
[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_07]: run the secret show urgently to run the secret show so the beginning of every episode starts
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_07]: with her and then starts with all of the secret agent men coming in and clearing her out some way
[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_07]: violently it's usually Ray is Ray and his men yeah yeah and then sorry sweet little granny we need
[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_07]: this time slot urgently run the secret show and then it goes into the credits but it's different
[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_03]: every episode it's great oh little cutesy wootsy sweet pea bunny friends sweet little granny here
[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_03]: welcome to the fluffy bunny show shall we sing our song
[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_03]: okay
[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_03]: fluffy fluffy bunny is bouncing in the world
[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_16]: positive ID on the granny over copy that prepare to clear this time slot over
[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_16]: safety off launch the granny
[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_16]: go go go
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_16]: incoming
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_16]: coming
[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_08]: clear clear clear run the secret show the that opening sequence bit made me think like I can
[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_08]: really see how this show and other ones like it were like how us watching it as kids has built
[00:41:30] [SPEAKER_07]: our humor because it's so dry and so dark at times yeah like self-referential which I think is
[00:41:38] [SPEAKER_07]: very much the humor of people our age yeah um one of the best ones I think is I have two favorites
[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_07]: actually one is when Ray gets his little nephew to help him clear her out and then lets him say
[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_07]: run the secret show it's like just a little bit of domesticity is nice it's a little uh was it
[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_07]: suicide or suicidal bunny bunny bunny suicides bunny suicides which I totally forgot about for
[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_07]: about 10 years and then was like oh yeah actually I think it was Elsie who mentioned it oh no this
[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_07]: has happened more than once in my life bunny suicides was dark that is that has also shaped
[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_07]: our generation's humor it's a series of cartoon strips of like different creative ways for bunnies
[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_07]: to kill themselves and the old cream egg ads where they were like splitting themselves
[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_07]: in just crushing themselves in various ways like getting naked taking off their wrapping
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_07]: yes like doing various things to kill themselves and the other my other favorite opening is
[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_07]: sweet little granny is getting a hip replacement so grandpa is running the show and he's like
[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_07]: like southern american like massive to the fluffy bunny show my name is sweet old grandpa
[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_13]: I guess y'all wondering where sweet little granny is huh well she's having a hip replacement
[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_13]: operation ah she'll be fine she's been through worse okay so we sing the song what what I'll do
[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_13]: it anyway I spent all last night learning the thing right okay fluffy fluffy bunny
[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_09]: bouncing in the wood fluffy fluffy bunny
[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_16]: this time slot on my mark go go go hey what is this oh no you don't
[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_13]: you ain't taking my bunnies not on my watch no one takes my buddies like he fights back
[00:43:48] [SPEAKER_07]: oh that's wicked I didn't see that and he's like running about throughout the show so throughout
[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_07]: the show you can see bunnies hopping around like they're just hidden in places and there's two other
[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_07]: versions of that like there's so much detail in it so there's an episode where spiders are like
[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_07]: secret spies and this isn't until a little bit later on but in every episode in at least one
[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_07]: scene you can see a spider just going up someone's chair or going up a picture frame
[00:44:20] [SPEAKER_07]: or something because Meg said earlier to me she was like there's an episode that's called the secret
[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_07]: thing or is about a secret thing that's the that's the first episode and then you were like oh that
[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_08]: that secret thing is in every subsequent episode somewhere which I love I hope I hope the working
[00:44:36] [SPEAKER_08]: environment of making the show was similar to what is depicted in the show yeah because it feels
[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_07]: like they really loved it like there's there is loads and loads and loads of detail in the show
[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah something that I wanted to go on to was the cast so they're all very prolific voice actors
[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah I was going through some of them I was like oh I've seen that I've seen that there's a fimbles
[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_07]: actor in both yeah so Anita yeah yeah she sounds she sounds like the Carter and Brennan she is
[00:45:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Flory yes she wasn't the original Flory she was a subsequent Flory and she didn't do as much
[00:45:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Flory but she's done other voices in the fimbles so Alan Marriott plays Victor Volt he's a Canadian actor
[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Kate Harbour the only female actress in it plays every female role and you can tell but she's very
[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_07]: good Robert Rackstraw plays Professor Professor Keith Wickham plays Change Daily and Martin Haider
[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_07]: plays Ray so Martin Haider's done less voice work but he's a comedy writer so his IMDB is filled with
[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_07]: like shows that I assume he's not done voice work on because it's like sketch shows and things like
[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_07]: he's done like Harry and Paul is on there and it's like he must have just been a writer on that
[00:45:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Keith Wickham is in so unfortunate that he didn't get to play Chief Wickham
[00:46:02] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah yeah Keith Wickham's in everything so he's in a lot of Thomas Media and I did not know this
[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_07]: until this afternoon he was Cornel the dog in Watch My Chops oh really he was Watch My Chops Bernie
[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_14]: a dog that's incredibly bright I can talk read and write and serve the nettle of the day and
[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_14]: all of the night Cornel you can talk and much more Bernie but keep it to yourself we've recently
[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_07]: had had a request from friend of the Pod Mart so do you watch my childhood switch I loved yeah it's
[00:46:46] [SPEAKER_07]: a great show but yeah I had no idea that he was in that it's about what's really cool I like it
[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah a talking dog I'm easy but yeah all of them are in a lot of things that we would
[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_07]: recognize I want to talk about the cast because you can tell in multiple scenes but mostly
[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_07]: change daily scenes especially when he's at the mantelpiece at the beginning giving their brief
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_07]: you can tell that it's been animated to his improvisation so the the way that he plays
[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_07]: the character is like slightly drunk and giving like little weird noises in between
[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_07]: like it's he's so funny he's so good I do love I can't bring any to mind right now but I do love
[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_08]: it when they record the voice actor and then they use the like things the voice actor did in the
[00:47:42] [SPEAKER_07]: actual animation I love it yeah they're very clearly doing that you can actually hear them
[00:47:47] [SPEAKER_17]: having a lot of fun I just like to thank Professor Professor for getting shot his
[00:47:54] [SPEAKER_17]: pointy stick conference and getting back here so promptly I brought gifts for everyone don't tell
[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_17]: me a pointy stick a souvenir pointy stick oh thank you no it's okay no as you know my name for
[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_17]: reasons of security has changed today live today you may call me like Kate Harbour playing sweet
[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_07]: little granny is so funny the way that the noises she's doing when sweet little granny is like straining
[00:48:25] [SPEAKER_07]: to hear the audience so she says shall we sing our song and then there's like sometimes like as long
[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_07]: as a three second pause I thought she's like waiting to hear the audience say yeah and you
[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_07]: can hear go yeah I was like wait what's happening okay that yeah that's genius change daily looks
[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_07]: a bit like Matt Berry he does and kind of like current Pierce Brosnan and a little bit a little bit
[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_07]: who's in our bathroom oh um Rob Delaney yes everyone knows already that we have a Rob room
[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Rob Delaney print out the size of our door right yes I wish it was full sized
[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Rob Delaney sized yeah Rob if Rob Delaney were three foot I mean it's still three foot three foot tall
[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_07]: so it's still quite yeah it's quite big we had to we had to custom order it yeah so it's a picture
[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_07]: that he posted on his own um in sorry Twitter and we thought it was so funny and also a little bit
[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_07]: sexy and we were like it would be really funny to have it on our bathroom door I just realized
[00:49:35] [SPEAKER_08]: with you saying that I'm like that actually sounds really weird the thing we've done well actually if
[00:49:41] [SPEAKER_07]: you follow Rob Delaney on Twitter I feel like doing that is really on brand in keeping with yeah it is
[00:49:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Delaney's own brand yeah just imagine gender flipped well yeah but you know okay yeah but gender
[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_07]: he's wearing like running no he's wearing like boxes and running shoes and a t-shirt and if a
[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_07]: woman was so funny that would also be very funny wouldn't it it's hilarious in fact I got quite offended
[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_07]: when my dad walked in there once well no both my parents came over it's always fun when we have
[00:50:13] [SPEAKER_07]: guests oh yeah we love to see their reaction yeah but it's so weird when they say nothing
[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_07]: that's it my dad said nothing and I brought it up I was like so did you see um and my dad said
[00:50:23] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah that has to be his face on someone else's body and I was like actually offended on behalf
[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_07]: of Rob Delaney because he's looking great yeah um we once uh our landlords came around yeah we
[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_07]: forgot to because typically we'd take that down if our landlords were coming around and we forgot
[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_07]: and our landlady went for a wee and I was standing in the kitchen with Elsie and I went
[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_07]: the rob still on the door and we were oh fuck she's just gone in there close the door she
[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_07]: sat down on the toilet she's gonna see it she came out and she said nothing either yeah
[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_07]: I said I felt like I needed to break the silence like oh I'm sorry I was like sorry about the rob
[00:51:03] [SPEAKER_07]: on the door we uh we take that down when guests come around and she went I've got two sons I don't care
[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_07]: she was like I've seen much much much much worse it's not like salacious in any way it's funny
[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_07]: it's hard to explain to you yeah well the worst reaction is who is Rob Delaney that's the most
[00:51:24] [SPEAKER_07]: upsetting I mean just to keep this in on topic with the theme of our podcast not only is he a
[00:51:31] [SPEAKER_07]: brilliant comedian but he was the first person ever to do a sign language CBB's bedtime story
[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_07]: aw did you not know that I didn't know that that's so sweet I'm getting chills talking about it
[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_07]: and the little one said roll over roll over that was the story and they all rolled over
[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_08]: oh that's yeah it is weirder when someone I think my brother or his girlfriend when they came out
[00:51:56] [SPEAKER_08]: of the bathroom one of them was like why have you got some random man on your door and I was like
[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_07]: not a random man I was like yeah it's Rob Delaney we thought about it quite carefully yeah
[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Laura is very defensive of this now but when me and Elsie first got this printed she was very
[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_07]: against it and now she's so forward that she's cut out more rubs and put them in the room and
[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_07]: that's why she calls it the robber we've got Robin from Batman that was Meg's choice we've got
[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Bob Mortimer yeah with his collective with his um cheese puff hat yeah and we've got Robert Patterson
[00:52:30] [SPEAKER_07]: as Edward Cullen yeah when he's doing the this was a tiktok thing yeah when he's doing the bad
[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_07]: smell pose this was a tiktok thing but I thought it was hilarious so we've done it too yep and
[00:52:40] [SPEAKER_07]: that's it and proudly on our toilet we have more rubs ready to be cut out and put in there but
[00:52:44] [SPEAKER_07]: none of us have done it no yeah we've got a list the rob room the rob room I almost I almost thought
[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_07]: a cut out like a cardboard cut out of Robert De Niro to put in there oh that's good but I I keep
[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_07]: because the littleness of it we get enough packages that I could make that so I was like I'm not
[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_07]: spending money on it so if you've got any Rob suggestions yeah I really want to get
[00:53:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Dread Pirate Roberts in there I want Carrie Elle as an abathurium I want Dr Robert Liston
[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_07]: oh good good yeah that's the fastest knife in
[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Robbie Burns yeah good I like it when it's just paintings that will confuse everyone so much
[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_07]: it's so weird because um once we did take that down when I think when our landlords were coming
[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_07]: around and it was so weird looking at a blank door it was horrible now I need eye contact to we
[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_07]: it is a bit weird going yeah going in there when you're quite pissed I mean your eye staring Rob
[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Delaney in the face well no because you're actually eye to eye with his bulge yeah
[00:53:53] [SPEAKER_07]: stare staring him in the nuts and we've put a sticky um mustache on his face now which I don't
[00:54:00] [SPEAKER_07]: think we can take off without ruining the picture I concur but that's fine maybe I did that drunk
[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_07]: as well did you yeah it was a it was our Halloween party yes I'm sure it was yeah absolutely wasted
[00:54:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Meg was dressed up as Magnum PI that's why we had the moustaches a bunch of moustaches your door
[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_07]: still has a label under this as staff only from that same party yeah well my my door had that
[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_07]: sign as well but I just let people in so did my wardrobe became the cloakroom and I gave
[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_07]: someone a fucking tour of all my stuff I know what else went in my room you know I went
[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_07]: that's why the stop only is still there it's the only one that lived up to its name
[00:54:39] [SPEAKER_16]: she's heading towards the stage well burqa from the west wing
[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_05]: freeze right you're coming with us I don't think so hypnotize hypnotize hypnotize hypnotize
[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_06]: get them
[00:55:22] [SPEAKER_06]: what have you done hypnotize them with my song and soon the whole world will be hypnotized
[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_06]: and in my power I knew it I got the idea from some old cartoon show yes I was right yes who's your daddy
[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_08]: the do you have did you find anything about like the art style production wise because I thought it was
[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_07]: super interesting it's like very cut out almost it is it's very geometric yeah it's very finnish and
[00:55:52] [SPEAKER_07]: fur that's what I thought yes it is very finnish and fur which came first I would imagine that
[00:55:58] [SPEAKER_07]: finnish and fur I actually don't know why I said that but I don't know what's do you want me to
[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_07]: open it on instagram and someone commented saying if my run cycle looked like that I'd be fired so a
[00:56:20] [SPEAKER_07]: run cycle I believe and I should have checked with Betty because she studies animation is the way that
[00:56:26] [SPEAKER_07]: you animate a character running it's the series of movements ah yeah and after they said that I
[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_07]: looked at it and I was like it does look they do look a bit laboured but I don't know if that
[00:56:39] [SPEAKER_07]: was the point because it's clearly made by very talented people secret shows first secret show
[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_07]: was first by one year so they were probably overlapping in production so I don't think anyone
[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_07]: copied anyone sure do you know what I love about the style is the fingers oh yes they've all got three
[00:56:53] [SPEAKER_07]: fingers on each hand and they're like really long I might have a normal amount of fingers five
[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_07]: I think they've got five on each hand oh right okay long and square on the end oh yeah it's very
[00:57:05] [SPEAKER_07]: like cartoon network in the 2000s every is like a square hand a little claw like
[00:57:10] [SPEAKER_07]: oh yeah they're weird it's four fingers okay no that's three it's three fingers and a thumb right
[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_07]: it's a four finger sorry but yeah so their fingers are so long in proportion to their bodies
[00:57:23] [SPEAKER_07]: truly are look at that look at the hand is yeah so I kind of um ship Victor and Anita
[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Victor anyone else no no no victory victory victory I think Anita deserves a put together person
[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_07]: I think she should date one of the totally spies they'd get on very well what about Victor and
[00:57:46] [SPEAKER_07]: change daily not no no sorry Anita and change daily is what I meant to say that I'm not clear
[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_07]: of the age difference that's better are you clear of the age difference well when
[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_07]: he was the victor of his day and we Victor we know to be 20 yes um is that all I'll explain why in a
[00:58:06] [SPEAKER_07]: minute I know he's like their their top spy it's not right but anyway when not correct when he
[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_07]: was the victor of his day and he was quote unquote abandoned by Lucy who 20 years ago that
[00:58:19] [SPEAKER_07]: was 20 years ago so he's at least 40 so he's at least 40 but you can imagine it with a
[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_07]: suave older gentle I can right take care of her but I do again think she deserves someone
[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_07]: more put together than change daily yeah change daily is also an idiot yeah crucially she had to
[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_07]: tell him to turn over the pain I mean he's he's a drunk he is I mean they're in the speaking
[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_07]: holding alcohol he is the opening episode he is supposed to say I'll hold the fort and he says
[00:58:46] [SPEAKER_07]: I'll hold the port I mean fought there's an episode where he has to go back go back into
[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_07]: the field and he's bad he was like he really is the one where he goes back and meets his old
[00:58:56] [SPEAKER_07]: partner right and she's like glad to see you kept it up we're here because she's been on a hamster
[00:59:02] [SPEAKER_08]: wheel for 20 years so she is yeah it is a fucking fiddle and he's like falling over
[00:59:11] [SPEAKER_10]: Lucy is it really you yes you yes you yes you stupid half-baked
[00:59:21] [SPEAKER_10]: idiotic fool where have you been Lucy I've been waiting to be rescued for 20 years I could explain
[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_07]: rather him than me so professor professor we need to talk about right my favorite professor
[00:59:37] [SPEAKER_07]: professor moment and this is something that stuck with me since I watched it as a child like it's
[00:59:42] [SPEAKER_07]: one of the very few things that actually stayed in my head that reminded me that the show was
[00:59:48] [SPEAKER_07]: funny there's an episode where doctor doctor has been infiltrating everyone's dreams and she's making
[00:59:54] [SPEAKER_07]: them dance in their dreams so that everyone's too tired during the day and fascinatingly incorrect but
[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_07]: yes well really yeah they have three fingers and they were square and half my contribution to most
[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_07]: things in life is neuroscience psychology so so by all means Laura would be the brain of our
[01:00:18] [SPEAKER_08]: do I feel like the brain of our brain to know about brain am I am I I think what we get into
[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_07]: there is podcast roles household roles I don't know if you're the brain to the household either
[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_07]: I Laura is so smart but she's so she's the only one that knows how to pay our rent Meg
[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I do I do all the money okay I do most of the money I do the meter readings I fix everything
[01:00:52] [SPEAKER_08]: I organize the fridge and the cupboards right who asked you to do that no I asked me to do that
[01:00:58] [SPEAKER_08]: because I like I like to know where everything is yeah Laura likes to organize the fridge and then
[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_07]: we get in trouble putting things in the fridge it's unbelievable that of the three of us Laura has
[01:01:08] [SPEAKER_07]: the most ADHD as well for sure but you're working very hard to combat it I can see that oh my god
[01:01:15] [SPEAKER_07]: earlier so I was in the kitchen with Laura and she said to me can I have one of your bagels and I
[01:01:22] [SPEAKER_07]: said she said can I have one of your bagels and I said those are Elsie's mine are in the
[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_07]: freezer you've heard about three Laura said I've had three and I said I didn't think I was always
[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_07]: getting through them quickly because I've not they're going quite fast but I've not seen her eat
[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_07]: any and Laura was like oh and I was like right so you're happy to take my things from me but not
[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Elsie's we haven't unspoken agreement about the bagels actually is spoken agreement about the
[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_07]: bagels I'm so sorry oh it's fine no it's okay I'm gonna have one tomorrow I'm actually glad
[01:02:01] [SPEAKER_07]: so bagels come in fives and I don't eat them that frequently but I wanted bagels when I bought
[01:02:06] [SPEAKER_07]: them so I do appreciate you getting through them for me so basically Laura needs to know where my
[01:02:11] [SPEAKER_07]: things are well she eats mine and I'll see I know where everything is in relation to each other so
[01:02:17] [SPEAKER_08]: if I didn't if there was like a black hole in the map of the fridge that would make me struggle
[01:02:21] [SPEAKER_08]: more right okay so I know where your things are currently we don't have a system so I don't
[01:02:26] [SPEAKER_07]: have anything it's back to the dream episode yeah so sorry it's okay so to combat this dream
[01:02:36] [SPEAKER_07]: infiltration inception style he puts them professor professor takes Victor and Anita
[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_07]: and for some reason change daily and they're in a bed the jokes they're in a triple bed
[01:02:50] [SPEAKER_07]: together well a quadruple bed because the mantle piece has to be there as well look at
[01:02:54] [SPEAKER_07]: and you can see the fire through the lighting up through the debate he says I need it with me
[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_07]: and he puts them to sleep under laboratory conditions and laboratory conditions laboratory
[01:03:09] [SPEAKER_07]: laboratory laboratory conditions laboratory laboratory conditions thank you
[01:03:16] [SPEAKER_07]: laboratory conditions I'm sorry that I'm just repeating a joke I could just put a clip in but
[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_07]: this is just one of my favorite moments of the entire show absolutely he starts howling
[01:03:37] [SPEAKER_07]: they're like yeah and they're like what's happening and he says it's a bavarian bedtime howl
[01:03:44] [SPEAKER_02]: it's an ancient bavarian bedtime howl my mother used to sing it to me
[01:03:50] [SPEAKER_07]: which he's so proud of and the the lyrics of the howl is go to sleep counting sheep there are several
[01:03:59] [SPEAKER_07]: anyway they go they go quiet and he says I never told my mother to shut up when she howled me to sleep
[01:04:07] [SPEAKER_07]: you need to put it so it's yeah I do I will it's so funny never told my mother to shut up when
[01:04:14] [SPEAKER_07]: she howled me to sleep anyway it's the reason I'm struggling to talk about this show is because
[01:04:18] [SPEAKER_07]: what we pride ourselves on here at Thoughts TV is that we take a non-surface level look at the
[01:04:27] [SPEAKER_07]: show but you know we like to talk about like what does this mean for the culture what does this mean
[01:04:34] [SPEAKER_07]: what did this mean then compared to now like actual ideas and shit and we can't do that with this
[01:04:41] [SPEAKER_07]: this is something I remember watching a lot when I was off sick this and watch my chops I remember
[01:04:46] [SPEAKER_07]: being on like reruns in the day so a lot of Keith Wickham in your ears as a child I think thanks Keith
[01:04:52] [SPEAKER_07]: this show 100% could be made now basically unchanged because I think it's still completely
[01:04:58] [SPEAKER_07]: holds up I mean yeah unlike a basil brush yeah the last thing we recorded this um is aged pretty
[01:05:05] [SPEAKER_07]: well yeah because it's also stylistic there's no aging really in the animation yeah not at all
[01:05:11] [SPEAKER_07]: especially the so the jokes the like self-referential jokes like the ventilation shop one works for adults
[01:05:18] [SPEAKER_07]: as well like in the way that's not like vulgar yeah none of those jokes are vulgar but I don't
[01:05:22] [SPEAKER_08]: think like a seven year old knows enough spy tropes to know that's a joke so I think that
[01:05:28] [SPEAKER_08]: also holds up really well because like it's funny for someone older watching it as well
[01:05:32] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean we spent me and Elsa spent the afternoon watching it and I was I was completely
[01:05:37] [SPEAKER_07]: diverted by it the whole time it was so good you guys were laughing a lot funny yeah really funny
[01:05:42] [SPEAKER_07]: like it's something I like about it is the I mean just for example the change daily names
[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_07]: they're obviously because it's CBBC it's completely non vulgar and yet funny words are still
[01:05:56] [SPEAKER_07]: funny yeah like uh Leopold Snag Trouser is one of his names it's funny and I have a feeling
[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_07]: I cannot confirm this that because they that's feelings
[01:06:18] [SPEAKER_07]: right sorry good bitch there is a behind the scenes video I think the only behind the
[01:06:27] [SPEAKER_07]: scenes video of the secret show where Keith Wickham is taking you through the studios but he's behind
[01:06:32] [SPEAKER_07]: the camera and he's doing the voice of change daily like a vlog so it's like a change daily
[01:06:37] [SPEAKER_07]: vlog and he goes into the studio with the other actors and they're sat in a line with a microphone
[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_07]: each so I feel like they were all recorded together oh I love it when shows do that I think I think they
[01:06:48] [SPEAKER_07]: were and I get the feeling because it's so natural sounding that those actors possibly hear his name
[01:06:55] [SPEAKER_07]: in real time because they all have a laugh after he names his name yeah so I have a feeling
[01:07:02] [SPEAKER_02]: that's what happened 21 years ago we sent our best agent undercover into dimension 10
[01:07:11] [SPEAKER_02]: that agent was Lionel Volt my dad an agent but you told me he was it was just a cover story Victor
[01:07:22] [SPEAKER_18]: so I spent all those years learning how to spell and in carbocation phatorologist for nothing yep
[01:07:28] [SPEAKER_02]: now I would like to hand you over to another of our top agents step forward special agent
[01:07:35] [SPEAKER_11]: mil dad volt mom okay okay now that's that's my mom listen up thank you professor professor
[01:07:48] [SPEAKER_07]: it's amazing that they managed to get so much into the time that they have in the episode
[01:07:53] [SPEAKER_07]: considering like literally the first two minutes it not the same but the same
[01:08:00] [SPEAKER_07]: formula it's like the getting rid of the the rabbit grandmother
[01:08:08] [SPEAKER_07]: the intro music and then change daily introducing his name
[01:08:13] [SPEAKER_07]: I feel like I'm missing out a lot of things that I need to say but all of those things are
[01:08:20] [SPEAKER_07]: actually just jokes I like yeah which is not how to do a podcast and this one was good and then
[01:08:26] [SPEAKER_07]: this one was good I laughed at this I laughed at this episode I loved the one where they meet aliens
[01:08:33] [SPEAKER_07]: and the aliens smell so good that they eat them oh my god and so turtles they get you see that one
[01:08:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Laura yeah I think I think so with this beeping I don't know there's like an alien and like a thing
[01:08:47] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah yeah yeah a quash yeah the alien looks like a snake and the leader of the world meets the alien
[01:08:56] [SPEAKER_07]: and it smells like it's televised and she slurps it up like a piece of spaghetti well no it's not
[01:09:02] [SPEAKER_07]: the leader of the world it's so that it is no the leader of the world in this show oh shit yeah
[01:09:09] [SPEAKER_07]: she's a big woman she's like a big tall woman with a tiny little husband tiny little husband and
[01:09:13] [SPEAKER_07]: she talks in gibberish and the only person that can translate is her husband so he's the one that
[01:09:19] [SPEAKER_07]: talks as the world leader states so clearly but victor and anita were dressed up as those two
[01:09:32] [SPEAKER_07]: because because of security reasons so for the televised version of meeting the first alien
[01:09:39] [SPEAKER_07]: victor and anita had to be the ones on telly yeah and they meet the alien and the cloche
[01:09:46] [SPEAKER_07]: comes off and the smell is so good that anita just fucking eats this alien slurps up and it's so
[01:09:53] [SPEAKER_08]: funny this reminds me of I don't know if you guys know much about this um they were trying to bring
[01:09:59] [SPEAKER_08]: a particular species of turtle back to the british museum to be like classified I knew this
[01:10:05] [SPEAKER_08]: yeah like classified than that and they they would have a bunch of these turtles on board
[01:10:11] [SPEAKER_08]: because you can stack them right um so that they had loads and loads of them on board and it
[01:10:15] [SPEAKER_08]: took a crazy amount of time I can't remember how long it was but it's like over a decade before
[01:10:21] [SPEAKER_08]: these turtles actually made it back to London because they kept eating them because they were
[01:10:28] [SPEAKER_08]: they were too good they were eight delicious and b they'd have like a um so slightly gruesome but if
[01:10:35] [SPEAKER_08]: you like cut open the belly of this particular species of turtle it also has like a water store
[01:10:40] [SPEAKER_08]: so there'd be like fresh water inside the turtle so it would be like okay so we need this water also
[01:10:46] [SPEAKER_07]: here's some food so it took a really long time to be back and living honestly fair enough I I can't
[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_07]: really fun yeah I've never been at sea for years and years yeah fucking hungry so you get halfway
[01:10:59] [SPEAKER_08]: back to the UK oh fuck we finished all the turtles might as well go back and get some more
[01:11:03] [SPEAKER_08]: bring a turtle back to you if i'm dead so yeah like I can't really fault them for doing it
[01:11:09] [SPEAKER_08]: but it is why the total population of that particular species is very low now so in this episode
[01:11:15] [SPEAKER_07]: um everyone smells their own favourite food crucially their own favourite meat
[01:11:22] [SPEAKER_18]: what happened you ate the alien live on world television
[01:11:29] [SPEAKER_04]: no no really what happened and now again in slow motion
[01:11:41] [SPEAKER_07]: yes we more slow them up and Victor is like eating them and Victor's like I know why I'm not
[01:11:48] [SPEAKER_07]: affected and then there's like a fleet of like um space scooters and they all have like a little
[01:11:54] [SPEAKER_07]: leaf on the side and they're all vegetarians they're all vegetarians so they go off to try
[01:11:59] [SPEAKER_07]: and save the day but as it turns out some of them are affected because they do eat fish
[01:12:06] [SPEAKER_07]: so Ray comes with them Victor's like Ray since when was a fish a vegetable yeah yeah he like he like
[01:12:15] [SPEAKER_07]: that's spelling surprisingly fishy aren't they and then he eats one and he's like when was a fish
[01:12:20] [SPEAKER_07]: a vegetable all right guys put your hands up if you eat fish and they're all like sometimes
[01:12:25] [SPEAKER_08]: yeah so you need the vegans to actually do this one yeah the committed one and then you know
[01:12:30] [SPEAKER_08]: the vegetarians the committed vegetarians the ones that don't slip into pescetarianism when it
[01:12:35] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah me as it turns out at the end of the episode they um they actually needed people to eat them
[01:12:45] [SPEAKER_07]: in order for them to like reproduce so they're like an alien again so they all basically
[01:12:50] [SPEAKER_07]: like is it like they burp out is it burp they burp out like a new species and they come out in bubbles
[01:12:56] [SPEAKER_07]: and they're basically just babies of the alien and they're like thank you for being part of our
[01:13:00] [SPEAKER_07]: life cycle thank you for your acidic digestive tract i just like out of the adipose episode
[01:13:07] [SPEAKER_07]: dr who where fat turns into babies yeah and they were like you'd be like you'd be so
[01:13:12] [SPEAKER_07]: fucking relieved that that was actually what you were supposed to do yeah it's a great episode
[01:13:17] [SPEAKER_07]: at the end they're having their debrief and change daily says
[01:13:21] [SPEAKER_17]: mankind has sought the answer to the biggest question of all why are we here well now we know
[01:13:31] [SPEAKER_17]: everybody comfortable with that oh yeah very comfy good i once saw a tweet that said that
[01:13:41] [SPEAKER_07]: dr earthcapita are like aliens pretending to be pizzas i like dr earthcapita yeah i don't know how
[01:13:50] [SPEAKER_07]: to explain it but every single dr earthcapita flavor tastes the same true it could have
[01:13:56] [SPEAKER_07]: any different thing on it but they will all taste the same there was not all tastes like the chicken
[01:14:01] [SPEAKER_08]: and spinach one this week or not there was not a huge amount of like frozen pizza brands in
[01:14:08] [SPEAKER_08]: singapore so dr earthcapita is kind of the only reliable one that you'd find so i ate that fucking
[01:14:14] [SPEAKER_08]: years all the time because my dad was away a lot so it was like oh what are you having for dinner
[01:14:17] [SPEAKER_08]: another dr earthcapita so i really like that used to be a lot cheaper and then people started finding
[01:14:23] [SPEAKER_07]: them delicious and now they're like do you remember the ad for it where she cuts out a random
[01:14:28] [SPEAKER_07]: triangle from the middle oh yeah but the thing is that's one that's the only pizza you could do
[01:14:34] [SPEAKER_07]: that with because it's not a pizza it's an alien pretending to be an alien food masquerade
[01:14:40] [SPEAKER_07]: one you have to explain to an alien what a pizza was and for them to morph into it yeah one day
[01:14:46] [SPEAKER_07]: someone's gonna try and eat a dr earthcapita and it's gonna be a mimic neither of you will get
[01:14:51] [SPEAKER_07]: that okay someone might think they're making a joke we don't get someone will someone will
[01:14:56] [SPEAKER_07]: someone at home is laughing fortunately by the time you've edited this and put this out
[01:15:02] [SPEAKER_08]: you can get rid of that because she said it i will remember it's a d and d thing okay when are you
[01:15:08] [SPEAKER_08]: gonna get around to listening to this episode by the time you listen to it you'll have forgotten
[01:15:11] [SPEAKER_08]: you made that joke that's not an incorrect statement you must get earth gravity back at all costs
[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_17]: yes oh no that's that's personal carry on does anyone have any other memorable moments from the
[01:15:30] [SPEAKER_07]: show before we try and talk about something deep about it they're all quite cool they feel cool
[01:15:37] [SPEAKER_07]: don't they it feels cool it feels like a nice place to work yeah i feel like just based on the
[01:15:43] [SPEAKER_07]: fact that mi6 or mi5 is one of the top hires of gay people some of the people in that office are
[01:15:49] [SPEAKER_07]: gay well even though he keeps a picture of lucy woo on his um mental piece he maintains
[01:15:56] [SPEAKER_07]: that there was nothing between them and i do believe i believe him that lucy woo was played
[01:16:01] [SPEAKER_07]: by felicity kendall the only other female actor in that show ever grace this show me too i hope
[01:16:10] [SPEAKER_07]: i'm correct about that i should shall i check right now because yeah talk amongst yourselves
[01:16:16] [SPEAKER_07]: you having that drink in front of the method bottle kind of makes it look like
[01:16:21] [SPEAKER_07]: you're having a little little drink you've disinfectant i just want to feel clean
[01:16:26] [SPEAKER_04]: all right donald trump fucking hell yeah you're not like the other floaty boys you're kind wake thanks
[01:16:36] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah felicity kendall was um the only other it's her and kate harbour against the world
[01:16:43] [SPEAKER_18]: oh ping ping oh ping i'm sorry i was gonna tell you i was a sticky head after you popped
[01:16:50] [SPEAKER_18]: but there was no time i lost my head he got out of hand i hung you even took my pretty solar system
[01:16:58] [SPEAKER_18]: i know i know that's why i'm here you see one of those planets is my home
[01:17:06] [SPEAKER_18]: your home yes and i need your helping right now our planet should be floating free
[01:17:13] [SPEAKER_18]: just like your head but how do you know you can trust me because you're not like the other floaties
[01:17:20] [SPEAKER_08]: you're kind weak oh i think it's really interesting something that i was talking to
[01:17:28] [SPEAKER_08]: meg about this earlier a 2000s thing so there's like genres that go in and out of fashion right
[01:17:33] [SPEAKER_08]: so like heists are kind of in an out of fashion at the moment spy stuff was so popular in the 2000s
[01:17:41] [SPEAKER_08]: that i was just thinking like there's so many spy shows and i think a lot of children when we were
[01:17:46] [SPEAKER_07]: children wanted to be spies why because it's cool it's secrets true i it's just the thing it's
[01:17:54] [SPEAKER_08]: completely fallen out of like if i talk to my cousins about it they're 10 now fucking they
[01:17:59] [SPEAKER_08]: turned 10 very recently if i talk to them about it they probably don't watch any spy stuff they'd
[01:18:04] [SPEAKER_07]: probably only spy stuff they'd be able to be like oh james bond but like there was so much spy stuff
[01:18:10] [SPEAKER_07]: made when we were kids you're so right my brother had those um those sunglasses that had the mirrors
[01:18:15] [SPEAKER_07]: at the side so you can see behind you yeah well actually you have a similar thing do i yeah
[01:18:22] [SPEAKER_07]: you have those goggles no you have those crochet glasses yeah oh yeah i do in them
[01:18:27] [SPEAKER_07]: so you can see the tv and you crochet at the same time they um they're like they're like reading
[01:18:33] [SPEAKER_08]: glasses for like when you're lying down so that they project your vision 90 degrees like or more than
[01:18:39] [SPEAKER_07]: 90 degrees so you can see what's beneath you yeah you can see what like if you're walking around
[01:18:42] [SPEAKER_07]: without craning your neck yeah if you're walking around wearing them you see your feet you do
[01:18:46] [SPEAKER_07]: lose significant call points for that well it makes you look like a snail because that's
[01:18:51] [SPEAKER_07]: not point pointing out like little feelers it does but also i've heard that if you're
[01:18:56] [SPEAKER_07]: like if you're outside using them be really careful because you can get a moment with a sun
[01:18:59] [SPEAKER_08]: it's just reflected directly into your eye balls death ray straight into your eyeballs yeah
[01:19:04] [SPEAKER_16]: i'm patching through a week video signal now 10.4 3.1 2.8 which of the three of us do you think is
[01:19:12] [SPEAKER_07]: the coolest because i definitely think that that puts a long road well i think right to try
[01:19:17] [SPEAKER_07]: that to the bottom i think that you should think you're like not you make specifically you in
[01:19:24] [SPEAKER_07]: the royal you the royal you should think you're the coolest out of like for self-esteem reasons
[01:19:31] [SPEAKER_07]: for self-esteem reasons but also out of the three of us because we have like some a lot
[01:19:34] [SPEAKER_07]: uncommon but we have loads of varied interests that don't we're all very different we're
[01:19:38] [SPEAKER_07]: really excited we're all we've lived together so much i think we're just one homogenous
[01:19:43] [SPEAKER_08]: we blob we had someone someone on the discord that was like you guys have really similar
[01:19:49] [SPEAKER_07]: personalities like really yeah well i think i think it's easy to think that when we come together
[01:19:54] [SPEAKER_08]: to talk about one thing yeah we agree about a lot but we have a lot of stuff that doesn't overlap
[01:19:58] [SPEAKER_07]: politically we're on the same page one time me and laura were having a conversation and elsey
[01:20:02] [SPEAKER_07]: walked in and said you know listen to you two talk is just like listening to two people agree
[01:20:07] [SPEAKER_07]: we were like that's all our conversations always two dumb bitches telling each other exactly
[01:20:12] [SPEAKER_08]: we okay that conversation predates that by years i will say no i know i know um because i
[01:20:19] [SPEAKER_08]: think to me i am the coolest but like if you take it okay but think about you wearing those
[01:20:26] [SPEAKER_08]: yay me wearing the coolest me wearing those glasses though i'm not the coolest but it's like
[01:20:30] [SPEAKER_07]: you take an objective view versus a subjective view i think you should think you're the cool
[01:20:35] [SPEAKER_07]: meg do you think you're the coolest um of the three of us no i do
[01:20:40] [SPEAKER_07]: think that we're all cool in our own separate ways well i don't know what's a spy cool the
[01:20:46] [SPEAKER_07]: birthday present i bought myself this year oh god was um a tote bag oh yeah printed on it
[01:20:55] [SPEAKER_07]: the cloud nine uh the george harrison cloud nine album cover because i think it is the hardest
[01:21:02] [SPEAKER_07]: album cover ever made see i think you get a hundred people right you ask them you tell them
[01:21:08] [SPEAKER_08]: a bunch about each of the three of us i think you'll get like a fairly like 30 to 40 spread for each
[01:21:15] [SPEAKER_07]: of us thinking that that person's the coolest if that makes sense well that's generous to me
[01:21:19] [SPEAKER_07]: because i think there's certain things that each of us follow go into that someone's gonna
[01:21:25] [SPEAKER_07]: think it's cool and someone else isn't i don't think that i think you're cool just i have the
[01:21:35] [SPEAKER_07]: coolest tech setup but that's not exactly you guys aren't trying so also a tech setup is inherently
[01:21:42] [SPEAKER_07]: uncool depending on who you are or really yeah i mean yeah if you ask uncool people i mean listen
[01:21:48] [SPEAKER_07]: meg you are of the three of us you are the most obsessed with star trek so who were you to say
[01:21:54] [SPEAKER_07]: that yeah you love sci-fi yeah like we are very true bitch with george harrison on a tote bag all three
[01:22:01] [SPEAKER_07]: of us have really uncool things about us right also the most uncool thing about you then do you
[01:22:08] [SPEAKER_07]: think uh this podcast yeah it's harsh but true harsh but straight
[01:22:22] [SPEAKER_18]: you stole earth's gravity just so you could have falling down parties
[01:22:32] [SPEAKER_08]: like i have i have a mixture of like 20 year old tech bro hobbies and then grandma hobbies it's weird
[01:22:39] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah i mean we can all do some very cool things and some very uncool things i mean yeah i don't
[01:22:45] [SPEAKER_07]: broadcast the star trek thing because i have a job do you think your boss wouldn't like star trek
[01:22:52] [SPEAKER_07]: or doesn't know my i hope he doesn't mind me saying this because he doesn't know about the podcast but
[01:22:58] [SPEAKER_07]: his his specialist subject is back to the future which you all know is also my favorite film oh you
[01:23:06] [SPEAKER_07]: love it my one of my colleagues sends a comedy quiz every monday and one day he wasn't in so my boss
[01:23:14] [SPEAKER_07]: in lieu of him sent a quiz but the quiz was back to the future and he got 100% on the quiz because
[01:23:23] [SPEAKER_08]: he said it yeah well i was like yeah you fiddled this so you can win okay here's how we decide who's
[01:23:30] [SPEAKER_07]: the coolest what is everyone's um mastermind subject my mastermind subject is the league of
[01:23:40] [SPEAKER_07]: gentlemen okay flags of the world interesting i think i'd probably do like mass effect law all three
[01:23:48] [SPEAKER_07]: of those are lame as fuck both actually i'd make a case for mine mine is the most practical yours is
[01:23:57] [SPEAKER_08]: definitely the most practical barely barely how do you mean it's a bit more it's a bit more
[01:24:03] [SPEAKER_08]: universal than mass effect law the only time that's useful is pub quizzes and geogas are
[01:24:11] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah how often does mass effect law come up in never at least i'm useful in a pub quiz i have
[01:24:17] [SPEAKER_07]: seen my specialist subject appear as a specialist subject on mastermind fair we played trivial pursuit
[01:24:23] [SPEAKER_07]: yesterday um flora one i've only laura was losing for so long and then she came back
[01:24:30] [SPEAKER_07]: well like it's a game of luck i swear it isn't a game of luck well okay except because i was getting
[01:24:36] [SPEAKER_07]: everyone else's questions right and not my own it's a it's a it's a combination of both that's why
[01:24:40] [SPEAKER_07]: there's a dice i love a game of trivial pursuit i love trivia i've never played it before why
[01:24:46] [SPEAKER_08]: have i never played it before why have my family done this to me it's a great game have we
[01:24:49] [SPEAKER_07]: established you the coolest is yeah no we're all right we're all right we could set up a poll
[01:24:56] [SPEAKER_07]: we are all equally late that's true yeah
[01:25:02] [SPEAKER_04]: doctor doctor what are you doing here ask them
[01:25:12] [SPEAKER_18]: victor are you still alive yes i'm still i'm still
[01:25:22] [SPEAKER_18]: oh
[01:25:22] [SPEAKER_18]: oh that's the piggies
[01:25:25] [SPEAKER_15]: did he really say piggies yeah very interesting a plane carrying a fairly smart bunch of pigs
[01:25:33] [SPEAKER_15]: to a spelling bee in wisconsin disappeared into the bermuda trapezoid almost a hundred years ago
[01:25:43] [SPEAKER_18]: wow look at this this whole village is built from things that disappeared in the bermuda trapezoid
[01:25:49] [SPEAKER_18]: you heard about the massive penguin baby
[01:25:53] [SPEAKER_07]: my penguin baby has been born
[01:25:56] [SPEAKER_07]: it's it's it's it's it's a king for a penguin all penguins are quite small is it a king or an
[01:26:02] [SPEAKER_08]: emperor penguin i think it's a what's a king penguin i think it's an emperor penguin right so
[01:26:07] [SPEAKER_07]: emperor penguin um babies are usually so they're born really fluffy right they're usually what was
[01:26:13] [SPEAKER_07]: that about foot about foot height i think smaller than that because okay the tallest penguins are
[01:26:18] [SPEAKER_08]: new to my hip right so the emperor penguin that makes it usually less than a less than a hip
[01:26:24] [SPEAKER_08]: door less than a foot tall this fucking baby hatched and it's like three feet tall it's massive it's
[01:26:32] [SPEAKER_07]: massive i need to see this it's full fluffy right full brown fluff like a baby is supposed to have
[01:26:38] [SPEAKER_07]: like a light you wouldn't happy for it but it's the height of the normal adult wow speaking
[01:26:44] [SPEAKER_07]: of penguins trying to claw this back a little bit the imposters are allergic to penguins we find
[01:26:50] [SPEAKER_07]: out in one episode of the secret show for that is what we are talking about anyone got something
[01:26:54] [SPEAKER_07]: to say about that its name is pesto ah right so that's the baby and that's what is next to
[01:27:01] [SPEAKER_07]: was a full grown adult wow it's the size of an adult yeah a full adult average emperor penguin
[01:27:10] [SPEAKER_07]: is five foot four inches or 1.36 meters this is great but i do need to talk about this yeah i get
[01:27:16] [SPEAKER_07]: that um i understand that yeah no i heard you no i i definitely think if you use our podcast to
[01:27:25] [SPEAKER_08]: know if you should rewatch old shows rewatch this one yeah it's really good it's really funny
[01:27:30] [SPEAKER_07]: absolutely or you didn't get sick of it personally i thought it was hilarious i understand
[01:27:35] [SPEAKER_07]: like we've talked about some kid shows that we've like they're objectively great but it gets
[01:27:41] [SPEAKER_07]: grating after a while this one is because it's like a kind of sitcom comedy i mean it's animation
[01:27:49] [SPEAKER_07]: it's always on the same level so it's always really upbeat full of music and loads is going on
[01:27:54] [SPEAKER_07]: it does make it a bit great in after a while this really entertaining this walk so archer could run
[01:28:01] [SPEAKER_07]: i don't think archer run mate no i don't
[01:28:07] [SPEAKER_18]: trip the base is under attack we've got to stop that thing the only way is to blast it back into space
[01:28:14] [SPEAKER_18]: yeah we only had some kind of giant rocket you mean something like that great now if we only had
[01:28:20] [SPEAKER_18]: a giant bottle to launch it from you mean like that yeah what are the chances but how do we light
[01:28:25] [SPEAKER_07]: using that enormous match oh oh well we'll think of something or if in any way you use this podcast
[01:28:34] [SPEAKER_07]: to see if you should rewatch old shows with your kids yeah this is a good one because there's
[01:28:38] [SPEAKER_07]: jokes that you'll now get as an adult had a good time this episode yeah this was fine i'm sorry if
[01:28:44] [SPEAKER_07]: it's not massively informative yeah sorry it's uh it's a good show it's a good show there's
[01:28:50] [SPEAKER_07]: not a huge amount of information just watch it yeah we let we let it slide this episode we wanted an
[01:28:57] [SPEAKER_07]: easy one i don't i don't think we let it slide it's just like you know there's only so much you can
[01:29:01] [SPEAKER_07]: know well it's else's birthday as well but also of all the shows we've covered it's one of my
[01:29:07] [SPEAKER_07]: favorite it's one of the most enjoyable ones to watch how hands down it's brilliant i felt a
[01:29:13] [SPEAKER_07]: bit bad not including arthur and betty in this one more because of how much we shared of it
[01:29:19] [SPEAKER_07]: together so have you had a good time yes i've had a very good time you had a very good day thank you
[01:29:24] [SPEAKER_07]: thank you to everyone who said happy birthday to me yeah happy birthday to me on social media
[01:29:30] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah do you feel about being 26 cells old no not really i feel fine right this is not a slight
[01:29:36] [SPEAKER_07]: on laura because she's making her face because she's already 26 but it apparently when it's
[01:29:43] [SPEAKER_07]: impossible to talk about aging with people who are older than you
[01:29:49] [SPEAKER_07]: you know when you speak to do this you speak to like your family and stuff about
[01:29:53] [SPEAKER_07]: get it aging a thing that's actually happening to you and when they're like in their 40s and 50s
[01:29:59] [SPEAKER_07]: all they have to say to you is it's worse for me it's like i don't care if it's work for you
[01:30:05] [SPEAKER_07]: i'm trying to have a conversation i'm going through something about something we could chat you could
[01:30:10] [SPEAKER_08]: play and i can complain we could go back and forth so my brother turned 29 the weekend just gone
[01:30:15] [SPEAKER_08]: and he we were talking about aging because i was like please my brother's try on and off tries to
[01:30:21] [SPEAKER_08]: work out and i relayed what i relayed what you said to him because he he tried and does
[01:30:26] [SPEAKER_08]: lift it and shit and i'm like please moving forwards as you get older please be aware of
[01:30:33] [SPEAKER_08]: your delicate bones please just move it because like you're you're going into your 30s and
[01:30:38] [SPEAKER_08]: you keep just picking it up out of nowhere you can hurt yourself please and he didn't respond like oh i'm
[01:30:44] [SPEAKER_07]: older it's worth you because he got the golden scoop of genetics when it comes to medical stuff
[01:30:48] [SPEAKER_07]: and i got the shit scoop of genetics so he's fucking fine the reason i ask is because for me
[01:30:54] [SPEAKER_07]: turning 25 was fine like every year i feel like it feels a bit worse and worse but i feel like it's
[01:31:02] [SPEAKER_07]: gonna get to a point and then it's gonna feel better because we're at the time in our lives
[01:31:07] [SPEAKER_07]: where it's like a puberty of sorts yeah where it's like this is when people do start to get married
[01:31:13] [SPEAKER_07]: do start to have kids do start to buy houses that kind of thing this is why this age is so
[01:31:18] [SPEAKER_07]: feels so weird and for me turning 25 was like oh that's all right turning 26 though in my head
[01:31:25] [SPEAKER_07]: is like do you know what i mean it's like yeah i think i'm 25 the last good and serious age
[01:31:31] [SPEAKER_07]: and then 26 it's like lock in i i think i don't know how else to explain it other than that so i'm
[01:31:37] [SPEAKER_07]: the oldest not by like a huge well a year on mech less than a year on else and like i think
[01:31:43] [SPEAKER_07]: i'm gonna be fine now until i turn 29 like i think i'm gonna just let the birthdays go by
[01:31:50] [SPEAKER_07]: but then 29 i'm gonna be like oh god yeah i i don't even want to talk about it i feel
[01:32:01] [SPEAKER_07]: like ashamed at how bad i feel about aging like it's actually not nice this is what i mean i feel
[01:32:07] [SPEAKER_07]: like you're allowed to feel bad about it like when you complain to your mum and dad or whoever in your
[01:32:13] [SPEAKER_07]: family that oh it's worse for me because i'm older it's like yeah but did you like turn 2026
[01:32:18] [SPEAKER_08]: probably fucking not now anytime any of my older family my aunt does not ever do this she she
[01:32:24] [SPEAKER_08]: sympathizes back and forth right but anytime any of my family members reacts like that i'm gonna
[01:32:28] [SPEAKER_08]: well i have ms so fuck you all they just scary now yeah no i feel it's like do you actually want to
[01:32:36] [SPEAKER_07]: have a conversation with me and care about how i feel in life because aging is a scary thing
[01:32:41] [SPEAKER_07]: and getting older is a scary thing and i don't feel like we should be responding to people with
[01:32:48] [SPEAKER_07]: well i'm older so and i know this is easy for me to say as the youngest of three of us i will
[01:32:54] [SPEAKER_08]: naively when i was a teenager i thought i'd be totally fine with getting older which is like
[01:32:59] [SPEAKER_08]: when you're like 17 you're like yeah getting older is totally fine and then you get to 26 and
[01:33:04] [SPEAKER_08]: you're like um maybe maybe could i have a couple years back i think covid doesn't help any of
[01:33:11] [SPEAKER_08]: those where it feels like two years were kind of not real one two three yeah well they weren't
[01:33:15] [SPEAKER_07]: real but i don't want to end the episode on that note um happy birthday cheers
[01:33:25] [SPEAKER_08]: i mean i guess one day we might end up as that successful trio with assistants but let's work
[01:33:34] [SPEAKER_07]: hate each other let's work on not hating each other i don't think i could hate you guys if i
[01:33:38] [SPEAKER_07]: like i realized today when um or like last night when i was writing an elses card that her turn
[01:33:44] [SPEAKER_07]: in 26 means that we're going into our 10th year of knowing each other yeah isn't that nice yeah it's
[01:33:50] [SPEAKER_07]: cute and we don't hate each other yeah i think no we love each other more and more with every year
[01:33:56] [SPEAKER_07]: yeah yeah i love you i love you and i love you laura as well it's not your birthday but i do
[01:34:03] [SPEAKER_07]: love you i love you i love you also i i love you and listeners we love you as well yeah we do
[01:34:12] [SPEAKER_08]: a swipe of it for that like a cat yeah so i've been learning from those around me today
[01:34:19] [SPEAKER_17]: she is really scratched up so the imposter has been stopped and the secret thing has been saved
[01:34:28] [SPEAKER_17]: from whoever he was all thanks to victor and anita that's the way to do it will you stop playing
[01:34:34] [SPEAKER_17]: with my head and so the secret thing has been hidden in a new impenetrable hiding place safe
[01:34:41] [SPEAKER_17]: from even the most well it will remain hidden for hidden for generation behind the clock sticking out
[01:34:49] [SPEAKER_17]: oh yes well spotted no no it's not hidden for generous oh it's behind the clock thanks for listening
