Edinburgh, June 2025 – The wrestling ring's most beloved misfits are back to settle scores the only way they know how: with maximum chaos and hands-free violence.
FistyMania!, from the award-winning creators of comedy podcast Wrestling With the Champ, is a fast-paced blend of wrestling mayhem and quick-witted improv where the only things that get bruised are the contestants' egos. Each show features a special guest comedian squaring off against the Ginger Ninja in a series of freeform challenges in an attempt to win the coveted Pub Wrestling Federation title.
Host Damien St John said: "We're bringing our beautiful brand of chaos back to Edinburgh, and honestly, I'm not sure the city is ready for what we've got planned. FistyMania! is bonkers, interactive, and as loud as it gets and could be the most fun a person can have at the Fringe this year. Our show couldn't return without the ongoing support of the PBH Free Fringe that gives performers like us the only accessible way into the festival. Ant and I are proud to be part of this volunteer-led organisation that offers free comedy to everyone."
Ant McGinley AKA 'The Ginger Ninja' said: "Listen up, Edinburgh. I've been coming to your city for years now, and this time, I mean business. Nobody can wrestle the title away from me because I'm ginger by name and injured by nature. That's mainly because I've just bounced back from a triple heart bypass, two new hips, and a torn scrotum that would make Mick Foley blush. And this August, at The Globe bar on Niddry Street, I'll be downing opponents faster than I can down pints."
Entry to Wrestling With the Champ: FistyMania! is free. Just turn up on the day - no tickets, no nonsense. Simply grab a drink, pick your champion and settle in for 45 minutes of the funniest ride in wrestling.

About Wrestling With the Champ
2025 marks the fourth year of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for comedy duo Ant McGinley and Damien St John. Previous festival shows include Better Red than Dead and Smiledriver. In 2024, the pair won Best Sports Podcast at the Independent Podcast Awards, and in 2023, their Edinburgh Fringe show was noted as one of the 'Top Ten Shows About Sport' by Chortle.co.uk. Ant also performed in character at the World Gravy Wrestling Championships, which saw his antics featured by LADbible, Daily Mail, BBC Radio 5 Live and CNN. Wrestling With the Champ is part of Podomedy, the UK's independent podcast comedy network.
