Independent comedy podcast network Podomedy has received four nominations at the British Podcast Awards 2026, with longlist recognition across kids, history, comedy and network categories.
The network’s original family history adventure podcast Dexplorers has been longlisted twice, appearing in both the History and Kids categories. Scripted comedy adventure series Pirate Material is longlisted for Comedy, while Podomedy itself is nominated in the Network or Publisher category.
Podomedy’s recognition is especially notable given the calibre of company across its longlisted categories, with its shows appearing alongside major names and established audio brands including From The Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast, Shagged Married Annoyed, Dan Snow’s History Hit, The Ancients, The Week Junior Show, Yoto Daily, BBC World Service, Economist Podcasts+, History Hit and Sony Music Podcasts.
The British Podcast Awards 2026 longlist recognises 409 entrants across 27 categories, with the awards reporting that almost half of this year’s selected longlist comes from independent titles and talent.

The shortlist for the British Podcast Awards 2026 will be announced on 23 July, with the awards ceremony taking place at indigo at The O2 on 1 October 2026.
