Podomedy Labs is a new learning hub for independent comedy podcasters from Podomedy. The self-paced courses will help podcasters make stronger shows, improve discoverability and grow returning audiences. They are being developed with time-poor creators who are already making a show, as well as creators preparing to launch one.
Courses will be short, focused and self-paced. Learners will be able to work through them in small chunks and apply the advice directly to their own podcast. Podcasters do not need to be part of the Podomedy network to take part.
Podomedy founder Damien St John said:
“Independent podcasters are already time-poor. If you’re making a show around a job, family and everything else, learning how to make it better shouldn’t become another full-time job. We wanted Podomedy Labs to feel useful from the start. That means short courses, practical examples and advice you can use on the podcast you’re already making.
There is a huge amount of podcast advice available from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and elsewhere. The difficult part is often knowing what matters, what still works and what is relevant to your show. Labs is our way of making that simpler, with a clear focus on funny independent podcasts.”
Podomedy also plans to introduce selected live workshops and expert-led sessions alongside its self-paced courses. The approach is intended to give independent podcasters focused, practical learning without requiring them to work through large libraries of general podcasting content.
