An Exciting Announcement!

[00:00:04] Hello faithful listeners, it is I, Nick Kirk, aka Nick Crick, aka Poise Colin, not with them as well. Nope, you've just got me here to give you sadly not a full episode, but an exciting announcement instead. There's two parts to this announcement. First part is an apology. I know a little while back we said we were going on a brief Easter hiatus. Yes, Easter was a long while ago.

[00:00:30] So that Easter hiatus has turned out to be a little bit longer than either of us were intending, partly because life stuff got in the way for both of us. So first up, apologies. We didn't intend to be away for a couple of months. It was just going to be a few weeks break. But yes, we have ended up with an extended hiatus there. So sorry. Secondly, as Colin alluded to in the last couple of episodes we did, we have been making some changes here.

[00:00:57] So, as of next episode, no longer will this podcast be A-Bomb to Zach's. This podcast will now be Comics Are My Happy Place. What does that mean? I pretend to hear you ask as a sort of rhetorical device so I can get on to the next bit. Well, I'm glad I pretended to hear you ask that. What this means is we will still be doing the list of A-Bomb to Zach's characters. Don't worry. We're two neurodivergent men in our middle age. We've started doing a list. We have to finish the list.

[00:01:25] That's just how our brains work. And we love lists. So we will still carry on and do all of the Marvel characters. We'll still run through them. We will get to Zach's. But we are broadening out the podcast now to allow us to talk about more comics, to allow us to talk about DC, to talk about Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Boom, self-published stuff, whatever else we want to talk about. But hopefully that will be exciting to you because I know that probably a lot of you listening aren't just Marvel fans. You like comics in general.

[00:01:55] So we will be bringing you more expanded comics chat. But don't worry, rest assured, we will still get to the end of that Marvel list because what could be more important than putting all of the characters in a list and giving them a meaningless rank? I don't know either. Also, there'll be some changes coming to the Patreon for those of you that do or would like to subscribe. What we're intending to do is a longer version of the episode will go up the day before,

[00:02:25] so probably Thursday, on the Patreon for the subscribers with a cut-down version of the episode going out for everyone on the podcast feed on the Friday. So there you go. There's the incentive to sign up to our Patreon. All of the names of the usual places you can find us, the email, the Patreon, the Instagram, they'll be changing to reflect the fact that we are now going to be Comics Are My Happy Place. So look out for those changes coming to the usual places where you follow us.

[00:02:55] The name will change, but it will still be me and Colin giving you comics-based fun. So yes, there you go. Just a little brief announcement, not a full episode, but just to let you know that full episodes are on the way in our brand new format and we'll even have a new theme tune. Ooh!
