[00:00:00] We are back again, welcome back to lets Talk About, you have your favorite horse Liam and... Oh, very, very nice. That's a great start. Billy and... There we go. Second time around, look me.

[00:00:20] And you're a fucking name. We've got an interest in, I've got some interest in stuff to tell you about today, man. We're gonna talk about... Where was that vampire which when you do it in first? We're gonna do the blood sockets first, man. So, now what was Kitos?

[00:00:35] Gonna talk, well, give them fangs, make them a little bigger and they have certain transitions met, then you could see it.

[00:00:41] So, yeah, yes we do. We do in vampires today guys, so I've got a few stories, I've got the origins of vampires and stuff, and where it came from. Well, some talk about Vlad the Imperialer then away. He's gonna be involved, he has to be.

[00:00:56] He has to be. We've also got a story about a certain someone who I don't know if you've heard of. He's called Jock Sangerman. No. No. Very, very crazy story, man. Anyway.

[00:01:10] But at the point how the hell are you then? Cause we have done this for a while. Yeah, true, true. I'm good, I'm good. Everything seems to be... Touch wood, have you got any wood learn around me? Well, I'll draw a bandage. Well, do you want me to?

[00:01:21] So, do what everything's going well, mate. Everything seems to be looking up. Have you been back to the gym by the way? No, I haven't. That's what you told when I was... Oh, you're profile pictures of you with the gym.

[00:01:33] I just felt like I needed to know that. And I thought, you know what, if I put all these, everything's going well. Put all these on my profile pictures and it'll convince me to get back with. Well, maybe I'm back should be enough to convince you.

[00:01:45] Yes, true. It's true. I've been sat around in. Wow, good on you, mate. Good on you. I need to do that. Terrible running, mate. I've lost a store in 4 pounds of artificial. That's like... It's a town for our American friends. Yeah, congratulations, man. It's good.

[00:01:58] It's a start. Well done, mate. Absolutely. We all need a start. Just another five store. We're going up the oven. Yeah. Yeah, everything. The whole-mises is looking up. Also. Have a little announcement there, don't you? I do. I have a little announcement, guys.

[00:02:11] So, I am expecting a second child. I would do it. Is the... Oh, God. What is it? I'm on 9th of August. It's been a second, but it's been harder for me to get all the billing now. I don't be deaf. It's only deaf.

[00:02:26] 17th of March, I believe, is the gender reveal. So, we are going to find out. What are you doing? I hit this idea of people who don't want to know. It's just like if he can know it then no. Yeah. Yeah, I get that. I got that.

[00:02:40] I'm asking him to pay some extra. I'm the same, mate. We didn't find out what Jen, nor did you. Yeah. Did you? I've got to never know we did. We did. We had the thought because I feel like if you're going to do it at all,

[00:02:51] it's going to be the first child. Yeah, you're not doing a street with Jen to reveal part of the area. Uh, no. Go. No, no. I don't want to believe in that. Just me, I didn't know. Yeah, no. It's just just an over-reasoned adjunct.

[00:03:03] Well, not for a sad message. It's a good message. That I'm asking. I was like, oh, that idea, don't you think? Yeah, fuck it. Yeah. I'll plant it out, mate. Right, so. I'm thinking of evil offspring. Yes. Oh, great. I'm to vampire's place. I'm to vampire's place.

[00:03:23] I'm to vampire's, mate. I saw. Let's begin with what is a vampire? Going to let him go to start off by asking, what is a vampire to you, mate? A vampire to me is, um, what's the story? You've done it what typically it's obviously.

[00:03:38] Someone who has been bitten by a vampire in turns into a vampire, the current, the out in the sun. Yeah. Wouldn't sticks, garlick, I'll act shit. We haven't got a reflection. I haven't got a reflection. I'm upside down, sleep in a coffin.

[00:03:51] Yeah, I hear the garlic leak, mate. Yeah, I know what we said this before. No, it's, it's, it's, it's, but the more I hear about it, the more I'm just like, I'm walking wild. But I do, it's just stupid and neat.

[00:03:59] Um, she'll not be able to kill someone with vegetables. Yeah, it's, it's mental, isn't it? Yeah. Anyway, so I should, it's garlic and vegetable. I should know that really shouldn't I? I don't know either. Fuck, I'm here anyway. So what is a vampire?

[00:04:14] We have a little description here. So everybody has a real variation, very mild. So there are most as many different characteristics of vampires as there are vampire legends. But the main characteristic of vampires or vampires is they drink human blood. They typically drain their victims blood

[00:04:33] using their sharp fangs, killing them and turning them into vampires. Uh, in general, vampires hunt at nights since sunlight weakens their powers. Some may have the ability to morph into a bat or a wolf. I don't like that. No, it shouldn't be so nice or what?

[00:04:49] No, that's different. That's, that's my story. It's a whole different animal. Yeah, that's my terrifying tales guys. These, uh, these, what we're talking about today is a, in relation to that. If you haven't heard, I would terrifying tale stories. Please go and listen.

[00:05:02] I've invested a lot of time and work into these stories. And, yeah, then in the last one's, I would just come out with definitely the, well, I mean, we're only in two sort of, I've definitely, significantly improved when I'm the first one. Absolutely. We're upgrading consistently.

[00:05:15] And we've got so many ideas coming and it's honestly, it's, I can't stress enough how much you need to go and check them up. Anyway, so, so, like, we can say, since blah, blah, blah, they couldn't even morph into a bat or a wolf.

[00:05:29] Well, that will fit. I don't like that. Vampires have super strength and often have a hypnotic, sensual effect on their victims. They can't see their image in a mirror and, and cast no shadows. Can you take a picture of a vampire then? There's a point. Ooh, who question?

[00:05:47] Hmm, that might be why we've never caught one before? Possibly. Possibly. I'll play as a role. Living a house of mirrors. Ha ha ha. Right. Well, moving on. This is essentially where vampires came from. It was a big part of it.

[00:06:06] We're going to talk now a little bit about Vlad the Impaler. So, how old? Yeah. Cool character. Even basting. Oh, I... So, it's thought Bram store could name Count Dracula after Vlad Dracula. Is like that. Great, it looks, and never. Also known as Vlad the Impaler.

[00:06:25] Dracula was born in Transylvania, Romania. He ruled Valakia, Romania. Valakia obviously in Romania, off and on between thought, 1448 and 1477. Some historians describe him as just yet brutally cruel ruler who valiantly fought off the Ottoman Empire, which was at the time one of the biggest empire's going.

[00:06:51] It was massive. He earned his nickname because his favourite way to kill his enemies was to impel him on a wooden stick. And there's no details there, but might I say if you don't know the story of Vlad the Impaler, it's... it's cruel.

[00:07:05] Up through the buttocks out through the mouth, and it would just leave them there to bleed to death. Human come up. Yeah, then he... it was said that he put them on... put the sticks up the knee with the people on impaled. All around the castle outside.

[00:07:18] Just get off the Ottoman Empire. It might tell me that in a minute to be fair. According to legend, Vlad Dracula enjoyed dining amidst his dying victims and dipping his bread in their blood. Whether those gore tails are true is unknown. Many people believe these stories

[00:07:35] sparked stalkers imagination to create count Dracula, who was also from Transylvania. Soak this victims blood and could kill by driving a stick, could be killed, sorry, by driving a stick through his heart. I never thought... you know what, that never... the whole stick bit, my vampire's.

[00:07:53] I never thought all that. Why? I don't know. I need to continue on your personal device. Better off? Structula. Right. Right. I... But according to Dracula expert, Elizabeth Miller, a Dracula expert. Well, that's cool. And Storker didn't bear his count Dracula's life on Vlad the Dracula.

[00:08:17] Nonetheless, the similarities between the two are intriguing. Of course you fucking didn't. Have you even... have you seen the film I've even read the book? I've... I've heard most about the book, not read the book I've seen the... be original film, anyway.

[00:08:31] I've seen the film a few times. It's a good film. A lot of them love story, then anything else though, you know? Yeah, they always have them. Vampires, it's... it's one of those... people love the ideas of vampires being in love.

[00:08:42] I don't know why, but you look at, you know, historically those films always... TV series, always do well. So, I'm vampire's real. What do you think, Liam? I'd like to say... I'd like to thank so much. I like the idea of vampires.

[00:08:57] I always wanted to be a vampire when I was a kid. Yes, I love the idea of it. It's just... Well, because the film that takes out the film, fucking drink blood and shit though. Well, that's true. There's a new audience, isn't it?

[00:09:10] There's like a full group of real people who... But they have to drink in a certain way because obviously... I think it's human blood, obviously. No, it is. There's a weird... No, there's a weird... they do it, I can't remember how it was.

[00:09:20] There's been their own then between them. Yes, it is. They all get tested and shit. Obviously. Risk of... So anyway, other vampires real. Vampires suit the station thrived in the middle ages. Especially as the plague decimated entire towns. Spying that the plague and vampires...

[00:09:38] The film interview of a vampire? That is a hell of a film. I'm seeing that. You're not saying it's no. Tom Cruise and Brad Pizz. Oh, what? Yeah, honestly, it's unreal. But definitely gonna watch that, man. Oh, I was fucking mad. Brad Pizz, man guy.

[00:09:50] It's fucking meant to be an old man. No. I've never... I've never filmed my actually in Joy. I know a lot of people didn't, but I really did. Dracking their untalled, Luke Evans. It wasn't bad. Yeah, it wasn't bad. I enjoyed that because it was Vlad, isn't it?

[00:10:04] It's like the whole concept behind it. I don't even care how long you stick for this. That's the last of the stuff that's been found in Helsing. I don't care. I promise you, on my child's unborn life, I watch that last night.

[00:10:15] I genuinely watched Van Helsing last night, man. I'm in doggy, but it was brilliant! Sometimes I'll watch it just for kid back and so. But that's fine. Yeah, absolutely. Yes. She's half. And he's especially good at it. Oh, I... Oh, I...

[00:10:29] I think it's too... To be fair, I was watching the last night and I was like, fuck me, this is bad. But at the same time, it's a classic, isn't it? Exactly. It's a classic, man. So, yes, it's a play that's a made in Thai-A-Towns.

[00:10:41] The disease often left behind bleeding mouth legions. Legions, legions, thank you, Liam. On its victims, which to the uneducated was a sure sign of vampirism. It wasn't uncommon for anyone with an unfamiliar physical or emotional illness to be the labeled vampire. The emotional illness.

[00:11:05] It's the old one, right? It's the old one. It's the old one. It's the old one. It's the old one. It's the old one. It's the old one. It's the old one. You imagine this, so yeah. Oh, no, it's me. This is back then.

[00:11:19] That's just a strange one out there. That's it. It's not it, that one before. There's a lot in here. I don't know where to go. I'll get to a jog. Anyway, many researchers have pointed to... Oh, here we go. That's a good word. Confirium. Poffirium. I don't know.

[00:11:35] I can't do that. A blood disorder that can cause severe blisters on the skin that exposed, that's exposed to sunlight. As a disease that they have been linked to the vampire legend, some symptoms of puffyia can be temporarily relieved by ingesting it below.

[00:11:52] Over diseases blamed for promoting the vampire myth include rabies or goiter. Is that goiter? I believe so. rabies is a mental thing as well. Yeah, but I always relate that back to zombies not to vampires. Yeah, true.

[00:12:09] I think it's a bit deaf by the way that there's literally about four people in the world who have survived rabies. Oh, really? Yeah. Jesus. So human gets rabies year dead. Oh, yeah. It's one of them things, basically. One symptoms. Once a symptoms kick in, you've got to...

[00:12:23] There's not a period then. The only way you can be cured of it is if some random reason you were tested for it before symptoms start. Cry some. What imagine being one of them for a people? Yeah, no. That's cool.

[00:12:35] I've survived redbees for a couple of minutes on somebody's way to go. So I'm being a pocklep. That's a vibe that... Right. So when a suspect in vampire died, their bodies were often disinterred to search for signs of vampirism.

[00:12:52] In some cases, a stake was thrust through the corpse's heart to make sure that they stayed dead. Overreaccounts described the decoupleitation and burning of the corpses of suspected vampires well into the 19th century. Right, so... Mercy Brown. Mercy Brown? Sorry, the lookley was given me.

[00:13:13] Oh, my name rings up. Oh, okay. Well, there we go. So Mercy Brown may arrive or counteraculate as the most notorious vampire. Unlike counteraculate, however, Mercy was a real person. She lived in Exeter, Rhode Island and was the daughter of George Brown, a farmer.

[00:13:33] After George lost many family members, including Mercy, in the late 1800s to tuberculosis, his community used Mercy as a scapegoat to explain their deaths. It was common at the time to blame several deaths in one family on the...undead. Quote.

[00:13:53] The bodies of each dead family member were often exhumed and searched for signs of vampirism. When Mercy's body was exhumed and didn't display a severe decay, not surprised in since her body was placed in an above-ground vault during a New England winter, the

[00:14:10] towns people accused her of being a vampire and making her family sick from her icy grave. They cut out her heart, burned it, and fed the ashes to her sick brother, Jesus. Perhaps not surprisingly, he died shortly thereafter. No shit. What the fuck?

[00:14:28] Yeah, what did they expect to happen? Like that, that's for them, that's confirmation. Yeah, vampire. She's at his ashes. I mean, he's at her ashes. Fucking just literally see. So although modern science has silenced the vampire fears of the past, people who call themselves vampires do exist.

[00:14:45] Their normal seat, well, seemingly normal, people who drink small amounts of blood in a perhaps misguided effort to stare healthy. Communities of self-identified vampires can be found on the internet and in cities and towns around the world.

[00:15:01] To avoid rekindling vampire superstitions, most modern vampires keep them to the keep-to-lens cells. And typically conduct their feeding rituals, which include drinking the blood of willing donors in private. This is what I was talking about. This is what they do in New Orleans when it's crazy.

[00:15:19] Some vampires don't ingest human blood but clear into feed of the energy of others. Many state that if they don't feed regularly, they become agitated or depressed. I think it's just like an addiction really isn't it? Yeah.

[00:15:33] Because I know obviously marijuana, it's not an addictive drug is it, like, scientifically. Yeah. But it's a crib. They're it for so often. It's a habit. Every habit is an addiction really. Well, yeah, it's ever supposed to. Vampires became mainstream after Dracula was published.

[00:15:50] Since then, Count Dracula's legendary persona has been the topic of many films, books and television shows. Given the fascination people have with all things horror, vampires real or imagined are likely to continue to inhabit the Earth for years to come. Hopefully. Yeah. Well, I don't seem going anywhere.

[00:16:10] No. So there's basically the origins of vampires. Thanks. And I'm going to talk about a crazy thing. I've seen this a while back watching a documentary about this, I'm not entirely sure out of pronounce his name probably, but Jax, Jax, or Jax, since you're men.

[00:16:29] The infamous Louisiana vampire. Right. Well, before you do that, you're just going to plug a little trailer for the dead podcast. Right. Yeah. It's really good podcast. I really don't listen to it now. We're talking about it.

[00:16:42] I was telling you before, we had a little freaking, it should have been relaxing. I love it. Yeah. Right. So I'm listening to this and then the Lincoln Curry with the vampires. Welcome to the dead podcast. I'm your host, Ezee.

[00:16:58] And on this podcast, I discuss all things spooky and weird from ghosts, demons, religion, to folklore, urban legends, true crime in all things paranormal with some horror movie reviews sprinkled in. So join me on this spooky ride. Right then, Billy Curry on that. Right.

[00:17:19] So Jax said a German, the infamous Louisiana vampire. Right. Flora skin that never seems to edge. Eyes, the piercing T. Osol, never hungry would always thirsty. I'm telling you, he said never hungry if I had time to talk about me. Powerfully charming. Yep. Peculia.

[00:17:39] They draw you in with their fascinating stories and hypnotic voices, but you can't help but think something seems a little strange. You go anywhere, down into the depths of their dark. E. Repollis swear their treasures lie, only to realise that you are but upon.

[00:17:55] Your muscles clenched as chills run down your spine. Someone's thirsty. As they flush their cooked smile and you see teeth sharp as knives, you know you found yourself in the midst of a monster you've only read about in books.

[00:18:12] Vampires have a long been fantasised in folklore and mythical tales. We can't seem to resist the enshapment of these curious creatures. And Unlooky's, Lashaloky, for us, in Louisiana vampires are closer to home than we think. Though the earliest tales of vampires date back to Greek mythology, look up.

[00:18:32] New Orleans is home to some of the most prominent vampire myths. Most prominent. The tale of Komterse, Jameen. You'll understand why there's different names here as well. So, most prominent the tale of Komterse, Jameen, who many believe to be Jokse, Jameen, Louisiana is very own and vampire.

[00:18:55] Now I believe that's it, Jack has earlier. It's Jok, that's how he pronounced it. So that's my fault there. I don't know. So, who is Komterse, Jameen? It's a little bit more natural. It's 1700s, France. And you'll receive an invitation to a dinner party filled with prestigious guests.

[00:19:14] You show up to a lavish mansion, burst in with conversation. A man walks in, on gliding, as if floating on air. He speaks in a way in which you've never heard before. His eyes lock you in.

[00:19:28] He speaks of events a hundred years prior with such detail you could swear he was there. The Komterse and Jameen mysterious, the Komterse and Jameen mysteriously came onto the scene in France in the 1700s.

[00:19:42] All law records suggest he may have been alive long before that, even during the time of Christ. Jesus. I, well done. Well done. French historian and philosopher Voltaire, King Louis 15th and Italian writer and adventurer Hassan of A, all claim to know the Komterse.

[00:20:07] Voltaire even said he is a man who knows everything and who never dies. Official record sure that Komterse was born in 1710 and died in 1784 but many people claim to have seen him as recently as 1970. Christ Jesus, what? Hmm. His life in some Christmany. I doubt Jesus's weapon though.

[00:20:31] The Komterse was a man with undeniable intelligence and wit. He captivated the elite with his knowledge and charm, yet he never seemed to wage. He spoke six languages, possessed a brilliant artistry, played the violin effortlessly and even grew diamonds. Grow diamonds grew diamonds.

[00:20:51] Fair enough and capitalised, no fair enough. Yes, you heard that right. The Komterse was a very accomplished alchemist. Alchemists worked in turn in metal into gold and created beautiful jewels out of small stones. So why the fuck do we have a pop chain, I hear called the alchemist?

[00:21:10] I never knew that we could. Liquid gold. Liquid gold. Yeah. All the time. Everybody drinks for the fucking small kidneys. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. I true. Exilia of life. That was pronounced.

[00:21:34] You know that, Alexa, thanks very much, Liam. God forbid I was on me on the Comps work in Alchemy. May explain his incredible wealth. The Compt even trained over alchemists, including one under Queen Mary and Tuanets. Well, here we go.

[00:21:54] At the Queen's execution, the Alchemists supposedly saw the Compt years after he died. The original champagne glass is supposed to be based on the shape of the Tatina. I swear, not the fact that I was expecting to come out of y'all.

[00:22:08] I swear to God, you might not get a lot of things on this podcast but you'll get useless facts from me like that. That's fantastic, Nick. That's great. Every time I see a bottle of champagne, I'm going to mention it. An old school French queen's tit. Love it.

[00:22:24] Don't ask why I know that. That wasn't gonna. The Compt wrote a book, Discussing His Work with Alchemy and Symbols. But to this day some parts of it have yet to be decorded. So how did he get to Louisiana? Thanks a lot, I think.

[00:22:41] Groves and wings and flu like about. The Compt has travelled all over Europe, Freud, Magnificent Parties. He mesmerized guests with marvelous stories. These same guests claim that he never ate a bite of food.

[00:22:57] Eventually the Compt found himself in Germany where he lived in a castle for a while, as a confident, too, as sorry, a confident, two prince. Hesse. Or, essay. Yeah, some online stuff. During this time, a strange record of his death appeared.

[00:23:14] A priest under the King's order wrote the death record which states that Compt died in 1784. Many people don't believe this to be true. The death record is slim and people continuously claimed to have seen him.

[00:23:30] Rumors around that the Compt did not die and instead travelled to the West in order to promote suponat, sorry, spiritual fulfillment. Some claim that the Compt first stopped in New Orleans, Louisiana. So who is Jacques Siengeman?

[00:23:48] Many consider New Orleans to be the most haunted city in the United States. And we've good reason. Perhaps one of the most infamous sinister figures claim to roll in the streets is Jacques Siengeman. Some 200 years after the death of Compt, Compt, the Siengeman, an immigrant from the

[00:24:07] self of France named Jacques Siengeman arrived in New Orleans and moved into a dwelling off of royal street. Jacques knowledge, Charmin Wit and seemingly airdulous presence made him well known. He spoke of events that happened hundreds of years ago in the past with great detail.

[00:24:25] He threw lavish parties with the finest foods, entertainment and most prestigious guests but never yet a bite of food. Sound familiar? No one questioned his seeming immortality, but maybe they should have. Not long after he had taken up residence in New Orleans, things got creepy quickly.

[00:24:48] As a tale told by many vampire enthusiasts in the big easy that one night Jacques invited a woman over to his house for a party. After a while he asked her to, he asked her up to the balcony where he attempted to bite her neck.

[00:25:04] She freaked out and escaped by jumping off the balcony onto the pavement below. The story goes that the terrified woman had drops of blood tickling down her neck, trickling down her neck. People quickly surrounded her and called the police.

[00:25:19] When the police arrived to investigate, they found something that made their blood run cold. In Jacques's home, they found clothes from all different time periods standing blood. There was absolutely no food or utensils. You tensiles? You tensiles? I can't even hear you tensiles? No. Christ.

[00:25:40] No food or utensils in the house. That was what seemed to be red wine, but were in fact human blood filled the cabinets. What they didn't find was a Jacques Saint Germain who never returned. Nice.

[00:25:54] Legend has it that Jacques Saint Germain was actually the comp to Saint Germain who people still clear to spot around the world. How about that man? Yeah, that's a fucking weird one that'd be fairly.

[00:26:07] When you've got the police finding stuff like that, the big one there is there. What sort of bottles were confirmed as blood then? No, that's for you. For the vampire then. It's crazy in it. It's madness. I mean that's the best evidence we've got right? Surely.

[00:26:19] The found blood stained cloths from all different time periods. I mean, coma. So vampire? Quickly. I don't know if I can. Is that all you've got for the Saint mate on vampires? That's all I've got for you today on vampires mate. Yes.

[00:26:32] And what do you make of all Saint Germain? Well, he's definitely a vampire. Yeah. 100%. That's what he doesn't mean. Too much evidence to me. Right. So we shall leave it there.

[00:26:43] As always, you know, going full of the instant vampires to Twitter, our TikTok is going very well at the minutes or one followed out. Can I find it all for all the entry? Yeah. Exactly.

[00:26:54] Just click the link in the bio on the Instagram page and find everything there. Yeah. The Instagram page. Thanks. Alright then. Thank you for listening and we shall talk to you next week. And certainly well, Billy say a loud. Okay guys. Thank you.
